The Hopi Indians in their legends captured four eras, in the last of which we live. Thousands of years ago, the ancestors of the Hopi lived on a continent that was washed by the Pacific Ocean. In those distant times, a war raged between the ancestors of the Hopi and the inhabitants of another part of our planet.
Once a terrible catastrophe occurred, as a result of which Kasskara split, and disappeared forever in the depths of the ocean. Only the lands lying on the very elevation remained dry land; they later became islands in the southern part of the Pacific Ocean.
According to the Hopi elders, Polar Bear, this tradition is passed down from generation to generation. When the continent of Kasskara disappeared into the ocean, then the Kachinas appeared - "the great and the wisest". Kachina are creatures with flesh, whose home was a planet called Toonaoteca.
The Hopi claim that the "wisest" have visited our planet several times at different times. Kachina differed from each other: among them educators, teachers and guardians of laws stood out. The teachers were specialists in various fields of science: medicine, astronomy, metallurgy. An obstetrician, for example, assisted women in labor, an astronomer passed on knowledge about celestial mechanics to people, a metallurgist taught earthlings to extract and process metals. Until now, the Hopi make dolls depicting their mentors, the kachina. This is done for a number of reasons: people should not be arrogant and arrogant, thinking that they have learned everything on their own. Also, people should remember that the kachina will return someday.
The Hopi Indians claim that the dolls they make give a true representation of the appearance of the ancient Kachin. None of the dolls are like the other, because each kachina was unique and possessed only one of its inherent strength and capabilities. The dolls are painted with different colors and symbols, while wearing a variety of helmets and masks - according to Hopi legends, this is how real Kachinas, teachers from Toonaoteka, were dressed thousands of years ago.
On the Arizona Hopi reservation, near the village of Oraibi, there is a stone basin, which is not allowed for ordinary visitors. All its walls are covered with thousands of rock paintings (petroglyphs). These figures reflect the history of the Hopi tribe, which, of course, does not coincide with the modern theories of historians. The Polar Bear's tale is striking. He said that the Kachinas helped the ancestors of his people when their continent split, and saved them from inevitable destruction. In several visits, they transported them on "flying shields" from the sinking earth and landed on the shores of South America. In the legends of the Hopi Indians it is said that the "flying shields" are very similar in appearance to halves of pumpkins.
The Hopi Indian traditions of teachers from heaven are not alone. The Kayapo Indians from the headwaters of the Amazon cherish the memory of a mysterious alien from space, whom they called heavenly teacher … Every year this tribe celebrates a holiday dedicated to their heavenly teacher. For this holiday, men and women of the tribe weave the clothes of their teacher from bast. It is a closed suit that lacks any openings for the eyes, mouth and nose. According to the Kayapo, this is what their heavenly teacher looked like. They called him Bep-Kororoti, and they tell the following about him.
In ancient times, in the mountains called Pukato-Ti, there was a deafening roar, and Bep-Kororoti descended from the heavens. He was dressed in special clothes that covered him from head to toe. In his hands was a weapon capable of striking with lightning (it was called a "cop"). Seeing this spectacle, the villagers fled in fear into the forest. The most courageous men, trying to protect women and children, tried to fight an alien from outer space. However, their spears and arrows only touched Bep-Kororoti's clothes, and immediately broke like straw. The alien, seeing these pitiful attempts, demonstrated his strength: he directed the cop at a tree, and then at a stone, and immediately destroyed them instantly. In this regard, a resident of the XXI century would involuntarily remember about plasma weapons, but no one knows what it really was.
Confusion overtook the Indians: even the most courageous warriors of the tribe had to come to terms with Bep-Kororoti. He surpassed everyone living on Earth with knowledge and wisdom, so people gradually gained confidence in him. Under the guidance of a heavenly teacher, the "house of men" (which is a school) was built, and he himself was a teacher in it. Since then, the Kayapos have also been building such "men's houses." Interestingly, the Hopi stories about Kachina are very similar to the Kayapo stories. The Kayapos believe that their heavenly teacher has done a lot for them, and they honor him. He improved their weapons, taught them how to build durable houses and, in addition, protect these houses from lightning. When young people did not want to go to school, Bep-Kororoty would put on his suit and immediately seek obedience. No one could resist him, since he had the ability to suppress the will of people.
They say that when the hunt was going on, Bep-Kororoti killed the animals without causing them pain, and gave all the prey to the Kayapo - he himself did not need food. One day, the heavenly teacher suddenly disappeared, and then just as suddenly appeared. At the same time, he began to shout that he had lost a very important thing. The Kayapos couldn't figure out what to look for. The men came closer to him, but he did not raise his weapon. Those who nevertheless dared to touch him instantly fell unconscious. Having failed to find the lost, the alien from outer space said goodbye to the Indians. Several warriors followed him and traced his path to the very mountain range. What they saw horrified them. With the help of his terrible weapon, Bep-Kororoti cut a wide clearing in the forest, after which a terrible roar came from the heavens. Something that looked like a house sank to the ground, and Bep-Kororoti entered it. The heavens burst into flames, a huge cloud of smoke enveloped the earth, and an incredible rumble of thunder was heard. The earthquake caused by this pulled out bushes and trees with roots …
Most modern scientists do not take the legend of the Indians about the heavenly teacher seriously, explaining this by the fear of the Indians of lightning and thunder: they say, the Kayapos could simply see a volcanic eruption or an earthquake. However, in this case, such an explanation is not convincing. These are practical issues such as improving weapons, building a school, etc. Thus, undoubtedly, behind this ancient tradition are very specific events …
