The Urals are the backbone of Europe and Asia. The oldest mountains of the planet earth are located here, their age is 400-700 million years. Perhaps, once the Ural mountains were higher than the Himalayan ones, but now the main hills of the Urals are thousanders.

Ural is my native land. There is a lot of all kinds of industry here, but I want to show the beauty of the Ural nature in my photographs. There are many lakes, unbridled rivers, low mountains, forests, plains, stone outliers … Traveling in the Urals in the summer, you can easily get into the winter: in the mountains of the Northern Urals, even in July, the cold whiteness of the snow blinds your eyes, and on the same day where - sometime near a lake in the South Urals, you can quite enjoy a beach stop …

In winter, in the wilderness of the Urals, you will most likely have to ski on meter-long snowdrifts, but it may happen that you will not get snow all winter long. The mountains are the oldest here, but the forests are young. Over the past 200 years, they have been cut down almost three times. Walking through the forest, you can hardly find very old trees. But in the mountains, in untouched forests, relict spruce forests will find you themselves. The forest ends at an altitude of 600-1000 m - depending on the orientation of the ridge and the local microclimate, and a completely different beauty opens up …

The weather in the Urals is unpredictable. It is extremely difficult to catch the same state of nature, the Urals always "paint" their unique, inimitable landscapes. The harsh, sometimes unapproachable beauty of the Urals is not revealed to everyone, but only to the most stubborn and obsessed, and if you're lucky: without luck, you won't be able to take a good photo with the Ural landscape …
