- Will you be saved?

The girl in the ward of the 2nd Gynecological Hospital was looking as if not at her, but somewhere by. An indifferent look, a pale, tear-stained face.

- Yes, I want to keep, - Natasha answered quietly.

“We tried too,” said another patient. - And I, and Galka here, - she nodded towards the neighbor, - just useless everything. They said "dead fruit". Everyone here is told so. And then they scrape it out …

… You can convince yourself as much as you like that pregnancy is okay. They will explain to you that this is not so, and they will find in the unborn child "a pathology incompatible with life." You will hear his heart beating, and you will be told: "dead fruit." You will be referred for an artificial termination of the pregnancy, although it seemed like another five to six months, and there will be two of you. Because your unborn baby is needed not only by you …

An old man who has problems with potency needs your child.

He needs an elderly madam who wants to look sixteen.

An official needs it - to increase efficiency.

After all, drugs from embryonic materials can work wonders …

"He's going to die anyway!"

Natasha Semyonova was expecting her second child. As expected, I registered with the antenatal clinic, passed countless tests. Until three months everything was in order, the woman felt great, the fetus developed strictly “according to the rules”. At the thirteenth week of pregnancy, Natasha began to experience periodic pains. At first she did not attach any importance to this, but after three days she decided to do an ultrasound, just in case. On a referral from the antenatal clinic, she came to the 2nd Gynecological Hospital.

- To be honest, I was very scared by the neighbors in the ward, - says Natasha. “But at first I thought they were upset because the pregnancy was terminated. Moreover, as it turned out later, one of my neighbors is losing a child in this gynecology for the second time. I was sure that everything would be all right for me: the fact is that I had exactly the same problems in my first pregnancy, but everything went away, and I gave birth normally.

A couple of hours later, Natasha was sent to the ultrasound office. Twelve women were sitting on the chairs in front of the office. Different ages, mostly in late pregnancy - from 19 to 23 weeks. The rest looked like a nightmare.

- While I was waiting for the ultrasound, women came out of the office, who were sitting in line in front of me and had already passed the examination, - says Natasha. “There were seven of them in total. Several women came out in tears and said that the ultrasound showed “dead fetus”. I thought I was going crazy. Then it was my turn, I entered. The ultrasound doctor very quickly passed the apparatus over my stomach - it didn't even take a minute - and said: “Well, you have him dead. Do not worry too much, now we will clean it, next time you will give birth”.

- I do not believe you! - said Natasha, trying to keep as calm as possible. - You're lying. It can't be that everyone has a dead child. I will have an ultrasound done elsewhere.

- What do you understand? - Aesculapius was indignant. - I have been doing ultrasound for thirty years. Go to the ward!

“He prescribed me penicillin,” says Natasha. - And I was sure that the child was alive, and asked my sister if penicillin would harm - this is an antibiotic. Of course, she also shouted at me that, they say, there is nothing to be clever, do what you said. And the roommates explained that they inject penicillin before "cleaning". That is, they were already preparing me for an abortion.

But Natasha was not going to get rid of the child. She called her husband, he took her out of the hospital and immediately took her to the polyclinic at the Financial Academy for a second ultrasound examination.

“Your baby is alive,” Natasha was told at the clinic.- Heart beats …

“Natasha’s story didn’t surprise me at all,” says Igor Beloborodov, vice president of the Charitable Foundation for the Protection of Family, Motherhood and Childhood. - With such stories we are addressed with depressing regularity. The scheme is the same: at a late stage of pregnancy - 20-25 weeks, less often at a short time, a woman is given an ultrasound and said: “the fetus is dead”, or “the pregnancy is frozen” (not developing), or “fetal pathology”. And they persistently suggest an abortion. What happens next depends on the woman herself: she can do what Natasha did - that is, go to another doctor and do a second analysis, or she can go for an abortion. Which, unfortunately, happens more often.

Natasha returned to the 2nd Gynecological Hospital for her things. She asked to give her the test results, but in response she heard the standard: “We don’t give it up, it’s not allowed.” And then she went to the very doctor who so persistently assured her - "the fetus is dead."

- I did an ultrasound in another place, and they told me the child is alive!

“Nothing,” replied a specialist with thirty years of experience. - All the same will die.

A deliberate mistake

“I am afraid to contact our district antenatal clinic, as I am sure that I will be sent for an abortion. Our doctor, if a pregnant woman comes to her, for some reason always looks for a reason to send her for an abortion (too young, too old, no one needs a second child, etc.), and this is not an exaggeration, since for an abortion she takes money from the woman, and no one even gives her gifts for the management of the pregnancy”.

“When I was six months pregnant, I had a blood test for alpha-fetaprotein. When I came to find out the results, the doctor invited me to the office and said: “Excess by several units. This means the child will have hearing or vision impairments. I highly recommend you have an abortion.” I, of course, did not get rid of the child, he was born completely healthy, without any deviations. But for the rest of the pregnancy, I just went crazy."

“They tried to scrape out a healthy child for me - in 1998 in the 64th hospital. Now my girl is 4 years old.”

These letters are not exclusive at all. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of such cases in Moscow. Experienced gynecologists also confirm these facts.

“I worked for several years at the Perinatology Center at the 29th maternity hospital,” says gynecologist Irina Klimenko. - When patients came, directed to late termination of pregnancy due to fetal pathology, the hair simply stood on end. A woman with a normally developing pregnancy, everything is normal with the baby, there are some minor deviations that, by and large, do not affect anything. And she is sent for an abortion - and even for a period of 20-25 weeks.

Yes, a healthy child may be aborted at 20 weeks of pregnancy due to the negligence or lack of professionalism of the gynecologist. This is just a medical error. Yes, it cost you a baby. But even a genius doctor is not immune from mistakes. And pregnant women are unbalanced persons, they easily panic and are generally prone to fantasies.

Only one thing doesn't fit into this sleek scheme. It is very beneficial for gynecologists to be wrong. Especially - in the second trimester of the patient's pregnancy.

Waste-free production. Dossier

In the early 90s, the Moscow International Institute of Biological Medicine was created on the basis of the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology. The institute is headed by Mr. Sukhikh, a specialist in the field of so-called fetal therapy - in other words, treatment with drugs obtained from human embryos (fetus - in Latin “fetus”). Another revolution in medicine is proclaimed - still, according to the assurances of Dr. Sukikh and his colleagues, drugs made from abortive material are practically a panacea, an “elixir of youth,” and their scope ranges from Alzheimer's disease to impotence. The material is obtained in a standard way: women who are going to have an abortion (for medical or social reasons) write a receipt: “… I hereby certify voluntary consent to the use of my fetus, obtained during a free artificial abortion operation, for research purposes with the possibility of their further therapeutic use”. The cost of the "therapeutic application" is impressive: one injection of the drug costs $ 500-2000. At the same time, the embryo possesses miraculous biological properties only at the age of 14-25 weeks.

Here is a quote from an article about "the new word in science - fetal therapy." Year - 1996. “… The undisputed leader in the field of embryonic therapy is the International Institute for Biological Medicine. This method is also used in other Russian clinics. Research Institute of Pediatrics, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, Research Institute of Transplantology and Artificial Organs, CITO named after N. I. Pirogova, Children's Clinic of the Moscow Medical Academy. IM Sechenov - all of them, to one degree or another, resort to embryonic therapy”.

The triumphal procession of miracle drugs is interrupted unexpectedly: it turns out that the Institute of Biomedicine has undertaken not only to produce, but also to sell fetal tissues. "The activity of the MIBM supplying embryonic tissues to the United States," scientists say at the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences in February 1997, "may cause accusations of Russia, as a member of the Council of Europe, of violating international norms prohibiting the sale of fetal tissues." After a while, new persons involved in the case of the sale of abortive materials appeared - the Russian Scientific Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Center for Human Reproduction.

On June 30, 1998, the license issued by the Mosmedlicense Center to the International Institute of Biological Medicine (MIBM), headed by Mr. Sukhikh, expires. A new license is not issued, the old one is not renewed.

But now commercial organizations are joining the race for “abortive material”. And everyone needs raw materials.

The business of “abortion victims” is becoming the cause of a completely unique phenomenon: the profession of “human incubator” is becoming more and more popular among women. These are the ladies who earn their living solely by getting pregnant, and then they carry out artificial childbirth. According to unofficial information, a “walking incubator” is paid $ 150-200 a month throughout pregnancy and rented a room somewhere. After an abortion, having donated a valuable fetus and placenta, a woman receives about $ 1,000 and, having rested, starts all over again. The maximum number of such pregnancies is seven, after which the "incubator" loses any ability to reproduce and earns a bunch of concomitant diseases. Few of them live to be 45 years old …

The fetal tissue sales scandal quickly dies down. The next three years pass relatively calmly. Nobody knows what is really going on.

But, as we managed to find out, the manufacture of drugs from abortive material did not stop. On the contrary, as the problem went into the shadows, the conveyor belt only increased its speed.

It's not scary to kill

From a conversation with a gynecologist-endocrinologist, Candidate of Medical Sciences Olga Sekirina:

Can we say that women are deliberately sent for an abortion in late pregnancy?

- Yes, that's exactly what happens. There are “lured” medical centers. If they see a woman in whom the likelihood of congenital malformations in a newborn is greater than in other women of a younger reproductive age, then one or two a day are sent to an artificial termination of pregnancy. This is not an abortion, this is a premature birth. They are injected into the cervix with a special gel with prostaglandin, which causes the rupture of amniotic fluid and miscarriage, or stimulates preterm labor intravenously. This material is carefully preserved - even amniotic fluid, even if the material is indeed pathological. Because it is suitable for rejuvenating the body and, say, improving potency in older men. Fetal preparations are made from these materials. The use of such drugs is very expensive. This is a whole network: the material is extracted, frozen and transferred to its destination - now there are many all kinds of enterprises specializing, say, in embryonic cosmetics.

Have you encountered similar cases yourself?

- Yes, I have come across this personally. When I “sat” on the screening ultrasound, they approached me directly with this. Like, if you see the possibility of fetal defects, send them to us right away. They offered a “serious surcharge,” but I, of course, refused.

How can this kind of "operation" take place?

- Let's say a woman has a stomach ache. Sent for an ultrasound scan. They say: "Oh, your baby is dead, urgently needed an artificial birth." And the baby is born alive. Of course, he is deeply premature, they cannot go out with us, even if they want to. And the woman is sure: "I heard he screamed." And she is so familiar: no, it seemed to you that we have a children's department nearby. And if you do not understand, you will not find out anything and prove nothing. What happened? But there was nothing. The woman had a miscarriage. And that's all.

What equipment is needed to process abortive material into fetal drugs?

- We need one specialist - a cytologist. No huge laboratory is needed.

Can you somehow comment on the situation described by Natasha?

- This is a complete mess, and, unfortunately, the story is quite realistic. Still, they used to somehow mask all these things: for example, they put possible fetal defects in the so-called risk group, suggested a second study, which already stated: everything was confirmed, you have fetal deformities. But grabbing young girls … Still, medical violence is cleaner than a knife with a pistol.

So, according to the testimony of a professional doctor, in Moscow there is a well-organized ramified network for the “extraction” of embryonic material and the production of medicinal and cosmetic preparations from it. The mechanism of action is worked out to the smallest detail. But, like any developing industry, the production of fetal drugs requires more and more raw materials. If at first there were enough “real” late abortions - when there really was a threat to the mother's life or fetal deformity incompatible with life, then after a while the material began to be lacking. The so-called risk group was used: pregnant women over 30 years old, pregnant women with poor heredity, etc. And recently, apparently, gynecological hospitals and antenatal clinics have stopped fulfilling the “late abortion plan” altogether. And terrible diagnoses are made to the right and to the left - regardless of the age and state of health of the woman. It is even possible that the specialists of this rare “profile” are sure that they are doing a good deed. After all, miracle drugs prolong someone's life.

By the way, in the overwhelming majority of countries, fetal therapy is prohibited. It is flourishing in Russia. But the main thing is not even that. For fresh abortive material, it turns out, nothing is needed. Erroneous diagnosis of an uzist or not entirely reliable test result. The issue price is $ 2,000 per injection. Maybe that's why the number of “mistakes” is constantly growing? After all, if you can make money from a mistake, then why not make mistakes as often as possible?

“Yes, the cat cried late abortions! One and a half percent, not more, of the total,”the doctors will dismiss. True, they prudently do not convert small percentages into absolute numbers. According to official data, about 6 million abortions were performed in Russia over the past year. And one and a half percent of six million is 90 thousand children. "In total" 90 thousand children - the population of the city - are annually destroyed by late abortions. And no one knows how many of these 90 thousand were destroyed for money.

Welcome to abortion

For a long time she did not agree to meet with a journalist. For seven years Ekaterina Olegovna worked as a midwife in an ambulance and suddenly, unexpectedly for everyone, she decided to quit and … go to a monastery. Perhaps what Ekaterina Olegovna said has nothing to do with fetal therapy. But if such a connection still exists, we will have to admit that the “abortion machine” is trying to involve the emergency service in the orbit of its activities.

“Not so long ago, my friend, also a midwife, was offered a new job,” says Ekaterina Olegovna. - It was about the usual collection of tests - it was only necessary to take blood from pregnant women. The workload is five hours a day, the salary is 10 thousand rubles a month, which is simply incredible by our standards. The place of future work is the Center for Family Planning and Reproduction (TsPSIR), which is on Sevastopolskaya. She tried to find out what, in fact, they were going to pay that kind of money for. And the person who offered her this job replied: “We have some kind of office in the TsPSIR village. They pay very high rent. For some reason, they need these analyzes. You can call directly there and find out everything. " She called, and some woman from the mysterious "office" explained that they were talking about pregnant women, and 10 thousand a month is just the beginning. A friend asked what would happen to these women later. Received the answer: "90 percent of pregnant women will go to the termination." Of course, she refused, we talked about it, gasped, scared and forgot. And in July at our place of work they announce: a general meeting of ambulance obstetricians is planned - to be everything, the meeting is supervised by the chief physician, he will almost count everyone over their heads. In general, they caused fear. All obstetricians from all substations gathered. The head physician of the Center for Social and Social Development came to this meeting. For about two hours I talked about my center: what they do, how they take delivery, etc. In general, information that the average medical staff, by and large, does not need. And by the end of the meeting, he announces: we, they say, will now have a genetic laboratory in the center. One is already working on Oparin, 4, - this is the Center for Obstetrics and Gynecology, the second - in the clinic on Bolshaya Pirogovka. The laboratory specializes in stillbirths, fetuses with genetic abnormalities and Down's disease. The head physician told in great detail that they were able to identify violations at the stage of intrauterine development and "save women from these problems." Naturally, if Down's disease is diagnosed, the woman is immediately sent to terminate the pregnancy. And many got the feeling that everyone was invited just to advertise these "genetic laboratories." In any case, we were asked to send women suspected of fetal abnormalities there. When I listened to all this, I had a clear feeling: the new genetic laboratory is somehow connected with the job that was being offered to my friend.

Of course, there is no crime either in this meeting or in the proposals of the head physician of the TsPSIR. But who will vouch for the decency of each particular doctor? Or for the professionalism of a geneticist? And what kind of strange "office" offers ten thousand rubles for a blood collection from a vein, which costs a maximum of three?
