I would like to share with the reader my dissenting opinion regarding one well-known fact, writes Anton Blagin. Look now at this map of the Northern Hemisphere of the Earth and notice the blue spot in the Yakutia region.

With this blue spot I marked a place on earth called the "Pole of Cold". This place (note!) Is very far from the geographic North Pole. It is only 63 degrees north latitude. For comparison, the city of St. Petersburg is located at 60 degrees north latitude. The whole difference in latitude is 327 kilometers!

A few words about the uniqueness of Yakutia:

Yakutia is the largest region of the Russian Federation. In addition, Yakutia is the largest administrative-territorial unit in the world! Yakutia is larger than the second largest CIS state - Kazakhstan, and surpasses Argentina in area - the eighth state in the world in terms of area. However, the population of Yakutia is less than one million people, which makes the population density in it one of the lowest in Russia (only the Chukotka and Nenets Autonomous Okrugs have a lower density). At the same time, Yakutia is a region with a high level of natural resource economic potential. The capital of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is the city of Yakutsk.

In 1933, at the point I designated on the map, the lowest temperature in the northern hemisphere of the Earth since the beginning of the twentieth century was recorded - 67.8 degrees below zero. It was even warmer at the North Pole that year! According to this and a number of other parameters, the Oymyakon valley in Yakutia (it is she who is located at the indicated point) is actually the most severe place on the planet where a permanent population lives!

The air temperature is minus 42 degrees Celsius.

The question is, if this place on earth is so cold in winter, what makes it so cold?

Maybe this is done by the winds generated by cyclones with anticyclones?

No, they have nothing to do with it! After all, the very fact that in this place in 1933 there was the lowest air temperature in the northern hemisphere of the planet since the beginning of the twentieth century - 67.8 degrees below zero, speaks volumes about the fact that no winds could blow cold here from anywhere and freeze the village Oymyakon, if there was literally a pole of cold here!

If the cold was then spread by the winds, then only from here in different directions of the world !!!

Purely theoretically, in order for the winds to cool Oymyakon to minus 67.8 degrees Celsius, somewhere nearby there should have been an even colder object, having, for example, a temperature of minus 70 degrees Celsius. But there was no such cold object nearby !!!

And the strength of the winds in Yakutia in the region of the "Pole of Cold" is the most scanty, almost always low wind. According to forecasters, the average annual wind speed in Yakutsk is 1.8 m / s. In the village of Oymyakon - no more than that.

What, then, literally pumps out heat from the land of Yakutia every year to this day?

And the most interesting question: where does the gigantic thermal energy taken from Yakutia go?

And where is its release carried out ???

Maybe some underground processes unknown to science are taking place in Yakutia, which play the role of heat pumps?

For reference:

A heat pump is a device, one part of which works to create cold, the other part to heat. The heat pump takes heat energy from a source with a low temperature and gives it to a consumer with a higher temperature. Thermodynamically, a heat pump is similar to a refrigeration machine, but opposite in purpose. It heats a room (house, apartment) thermally isolated from the external environment by cooling the outside air or other external environment.

A bit of history.

The concept of heat pumps was developed back in 1852 by the outstanding British physicist and engineer William Thomson (Lord Kelvin) and was further refined and detailed by the Austrian engineer Peter Ritter von Rittinger. Peter Ritter von Rittinger is considered to be the inventor of the heat pump, as it was he who designed and installed the first known heat pump in 1855. But the heat pump acquired practical application much later, more precisely in the 40s of the twentieth century, when the enthusiastic inventor Robert C. Webber experimented with the freezer. One day, Weber accidentally touched a hot pipe at the outlet of the chamber and realized that the heat was simply being thrown out. The inventor thought about how to use this heat and decided to place a pipe in a boiler to heat the water. As a result, Weber provided his family with so much hot water that they could not physically use, while some of the heat from the heated water got into the air. This prompted him to think that one heat source can heat both water and air at the same time, so Weber improved his invention and began to drive hot water in a spiral (through a coil) and, using a small fan, distribute heat throughout the house in order to heat it.

Over time, it was Weber who came up with the idea to "pump out" heat from the earth, where the temperature did not change too much during the year. He placed copper pipes in the ground, through which freon circulated, which "collected" the heat of the earth. The gas condensed, gave off its heat in the house, and again passed through the coil to pick up the next portion of heat. The air was set in motion by a fan and circulated throughout the house. The following year, Weber sold his old coal stove.

The heat pump was famous for its extreme efficiency in the 1940s, but the real need for it arose during the Arab oil embargo in the 1970s, when, despite low energy prices, there was an interest in energy conservation. A source.

Now look at the map of the Russian Federation, where the "Pole of Cold" is marked in purple, with an air temperature of minus 46 degrees Celsius.

What does all this say?

This suggests that "Santa Claus" comes to the village of Oymyakon not from the sky, as many still think, but he comes to people from underground!

Personally, I got the impression that right under this village there is a super-powerful natural ice maker or, in other words, a heat pump that pumps heat from the surface of the earth and from the surrounding air somewhere into the planet.

During the summer, when the Sun intensively heats the northern hemisphere of the Earth, solar radiation (heat emitted by the Sun) both can and opposes the work of this underground natural "heat pump", but still, the map of average annual air temperatures clearly shows the place where this particular "heat sink" is located!

It is located in Yakutia!

The map of the "permafrost" deposits also speaks of this. This is how permafrost is called - frozen rocks for a long time, from several to tens and hundreds of thousands of years.

As you can see, on this map, too, the depth of permafrost greening (more than 500 meters!) Indicates the presence of a well-defined "Pole of Cold" in the center of Yakutia.

So how do you explain the presence of this "Pole of Cold" in Yakutia, gentlemen, scientists, associate professors with candidates ?!

What physical phenomenon, which literally plays the role of a heat pump, are you simply not telling people in your books?

Anton Blagin: the most interesting thing is that according to this map, on which (in addition to winds and cyclones, and anticyclones) different temperature zones are shown in different colors (the coldest places are burgundy, and the coldest places are indicated in dark burgundy), in the northern hemisphere of the Earth There are two "ice pits": one in Yakutia, the other in Greenlania, where heat from the surrounding space is literally sucked into the earth, as in Weber's heat pump.

Moreover, these two "ice pits", intensively absorbing heat from the planet's surface, are located in relation to the North Pole almost mirror-like and almost equidistant from it.
