An engineer from Yakutia proposed a cheap autonomous system for supplying energy to residential buildings anywhere in the world. Tesla became interested in her.

66-year-old Anatoly Chomchoev from the Yakutsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences has been living in the forest for the last 10 years, on the 45th kilometer of the Vilyui tract, and has successfully created alternative energy himself. Together with his wife Diana Chomchoeva, candidate of agricultural sciences, immunogeneticist, they live far from civilization, but are not torn away from it - they go to international conferences, conduct scientific research and publish scientific articles.

The spouses have many patents and scientific developments, many of which have already been implemented, but not in Russia, but abroad. For example, in collaboration with Japanese companies, they have developed and launched into production gloves and boots that can withstand 50-degree frosts.

They deal with the problems of energy and heat conservation, developing residential buildings that require 10 times less energy to heat. But in recent years, the main thing for spouses is alternative energy sources, which are able to fully ensure the autonomy of residential buildings anywhere in the world.

“When Diana and I realized how inefficient solar panels and wind farms were, we began to think: where is the solution? "Chomchoev says." We came to such conclusions six years ago, having spent five years on it. We checked so many solar panels, the best were domestic ones from Roscosmos. They can withstand our frosts. But the maximum we get from them is - turn on the TV and charge the phone. One solar panel gives a charge of 1.5 kW. And the solar panels need constant care: because of the accumulated dust, efficiency can decrease several times."

“Considering that solar panels and wind turbines barely“pull”small household appliances, it’s stupid to even talk about heating and power supply to settlements. RusHydro is actively building solar stations, but this is economically unreasonable: all costs are then included in tariffs that are growing and grow, Chomchoev explains.

"For five years I have been counting, calculating, analyzing, conducting experiments, so I am sure that this is the right decision," says the engineer, convincing that a portable atomic generator can become a panacea for everything.

Its mechanism of action is so simple that the engineer is afraid to patent it: as soon as everything is published, other countries will be able to quickly create analogues and start testing, reports Newss. Ykt.ru. "This is not a simple nuclear generator, its operating principle is completely different. It is not explosive, cooling is not due to water, but due to air and design and technical solutions. The Chernobyl station operated on water, there was a risk of explosion," he explains. We write about all our experiences to both the Yakutian government and the Russian government, but everyone is comfortable pretending that we are not there.

A small nuclear generator of a new generation, covering an area of about two square meters, will be able to deliver 15 kW of power and become an ideal option for a small village with 100 houses. Its cost is about two million rubles, it works in automatic mode, it is completely safe and does not need refueling, maintenance or replacement of spare parts. Such a generator can operate without interruption for 50 years. A generator with a capacity of up to 10 MW will provide heat, electricity and hot water to at least 15 thousand people.

Chomchoev from year to year invites the leadership of Yakutia to take on this project. The production of one prototype will cost about 30 million rubles. Research and development work will take up to three years. Such a development can turn the life of not only Yakutia, but also Russia and the whole world.

Foreign agencies have been interested in this project for a long time. There is also a proposal from one of the Rosatom divisions to conclude an agreement and conduct tests at their test site. However, Chomchoev refused, believing that in this case his development would take on a different direction, far from the needs of consumers.

“I constantly write letters to the leadership of Yakutia, the plenipotentiary of the Far East Trutnev, but my letters remain unanswered. In recent years, to be honest, I began to get tired … I am by no means young, and sometimes the thought creeps in that I will not have time. We agreed with my wife: we are waiting for more two years, if nothing works out here, then we will go abroad. This is not blackmail, but simply a statement of fact: the country does not need technical breakthroughs, Chomchoev explains.

The last hope for the decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 7 this year on national goals and strategic objectives. Clause 11 on the digital economy and clause 15 on the modernization of generating capacities in remote and energetically isolated settlements set out goals and objectives. The regions must submit their plan by October 1, 2018, but there is a decree, but there is no action.

According to Chomchoev, foreign colleagues persuade him to give up everything and go abroad, where funding will be immediately allocated for the new development. For example, Tesla, which is actively involved in the creation of clean energy sources, has already offered a Russian engineer a job, promising to finance his project. "They call for Elon Musk to work, his deputy says to me:" Drop everything! Innovative technologies will never be understood in Russia, but here everything will be - tests, sites, and financing, "the engineer said.

“And I wait and hope that the greatest breakthrough in the history of mankind will begin in Yakutia. After all, this will positively affect the life of the Arctic regions, where it’s not easy anyway. Now they are trying to come up with some ideas, innovations to save on fuel. You know What do I compare an atomic generator with? Many years ago, everyone was thinking which buttons are better to make on the phone - push-button or rotating, and then they came up with a cell phone with wireless communication, and all these questions disappeared. sure Anatoly Chomchoev.
