The media is full of disturbing news. Almost the entire planet is in quarantine. The economy is collapsing, more and more people are becoming unemployed, businesses, both small and large, are closed. The number of flights decreased by 80%. Trucking decreased by 35%. Cruise ships, climate and environmental killers, have finally anchored in port. Stopped factories producing useless disposable plastic trash. The production of mass stupefaction machines (smartphones) has slowed down. Even the production of poor iPhones began to decline.

Our planet is in intensive care and began to breathe clean air. The earth has ceased to be so actively poisoned with carbon dioxide emissions (in China alone, its emissions decreased by 300 million tons in 2 months). Reduced emissions of sulfur dioxide, this extremely toxic poison, fine aerosols. For the first time in 30 years, the inhabitants of India saw the Himalayas. In New York, the air is 50% cleaner. Dolphins and fish appeared in Venice.

The coronavirus epidemic in just a couple of months has shown what will happen to our planet if we stop killing it. The virus stopped the ecocide of our habitat, stopped what mankind has been actively doing for the past 60-80 years. It was thanks to the virus that our planet got a chance to survive.

Scientists' forecasts are disappointing: in 10 years we will face a climatic and ecological collapse. Serious action must be taken immediately to save the planet. But the leaders of the countries remained completely deaf to the calls of scientists, as they understand that calls to save the environment mean the death of the economy, and, therefore, the number of billionaires on the planet may sharply decrease, and it is they who appoint the puppet rulers. Therefore, it is difficult to expect that the leaders of states will suddenly rush to save the environment, they do not need it, they naively believe that they will be able to hide in multimillion-dollar bunkers already built around the world. For the oligarchic "elite" only the deaf-blind-mute does not know about underground cities in New Zealand for the oligarchic "elite", even large media, such as the Guardian newspaper, write about it. Our oligarchic "elite" sees its future in closed bunker-prisons where it will also perish, in truth, several years later than you and me.

The coronavirus is the only one who seriously listened to the warnings of scientists and began to act for the good of our planet, and it is, I must say, extremely effective. If the quarantine continues for a couple of months, then the economy based on killing the ecology, climate and leading to the ecocide of all life on the planet, it seems, will play into the box. As soon as the economy dies, the existing social order on the planet, based on the thoughtless destruction of nature, will collapse.

If the economy perishes, the megacities will also die - these plague barracks, the brainchild of globalization. Tourism will die - a sophisticated means of killing the environment. Loitering idiots will no longer be able to poison the air by flying on airplanes with the sole purpose of posting a photo of themselves in front of a dying nature on Instagram. Cruise ships will quickly turn into heaps of rusting metal. The number of landfills on the planet will begin to decline sharply. In place of smoking factories and factories that produce rubbish no one needs, birds make their nests.

Social networks are now crammed with conspiracy theories claiming that, they say, the virus was created in a secret laboratory by Freemasons or Bill Gates and other enchanting nonsense. We can offer an alternative conspiracy theory. The virus was created … by a higher intelligence, our planet or especially advanced aliens who simply could no longer watch us kill our own habitat. Perhaps he came from the depths of space with one single purpose - to save us from ourselves.

Now, when the planet has placed us under house arrest (for ecocide and barbaric attitude towards nature), we must think about what to do next, because it is impossible to live the way we used to. Social collapse and extinction await us. If we destroy our home, planet Earth, we have no spare planet. We must, we simply must draw a conclusion from the current situation and not be mistaken. We have only one chance that the coronavirus gave us and we have no right to miss it (well, if we want to survive, of course, and not go to the dustbin of history like dinosaurs).

So what is humanity to do now? How to live on? How can we save our planet and leave our children with a clean, well-kept home, not a filthy trash heap?

This exit can be described very briefly. We must … figuratively speaking, go back to the 19th century, to the pre-technological way of life. After the epidemic ends, leave the megacities and start moving to ecovillages. Live in the bosom of nature, caring and nurturing it. Reduce our material needs. Develop spiritual. Instead of going to the Caribbean, meditate. Instead of buying a new car, planting a forest. Instead of sitting in stuffy offices, cultivate organic food. There can be no unemployment in ecovillages, there everyone, literally everyone will be useful.

For a while, we can continue to use cars and airplanes just to prepare and secure a new habitat, but then they all have to be sent to landfill. Yes, for some time the factories should continue to work, releasing the equipment necessary for ecovillages, which will allow us to move to a new way of life. There is enough space on our planet to accommodate everyone. Each family needs to allocate a couple of hectares of land on which it is possible to ensure the production of everything a person needs: food, clothing, ecological housing.

Compact ecovillages (no more than 300 people) will make it possible to forget about such troubles of our civilization as crime (in such a small community there will simply be no place for it), unemployment, landfills (after all, literally everything in subsistence farming can be disposed of), diseases (it's no secret to anyone that most modern diseases are caused by environmental pollution, poor-quality food, the use of household chemicals). That is, the need for doctors and hospitals in such ecovillages will also be minimal.

Such ecovillages will have no need for an army, police, courts, prisons and all the other "delights" of modern civilization.

A bright, wonderful future can await us. A future in harmony with nature. All that is needed for this is to abandon your petty selfish needs and start building a new world together. The drawings have been given to us - we can take as a model how our civilization lived only a century and a half ago. Horse-drawn transport, ecological timber houses, clean water, air. Yes, we can take some of the "charms" of our civilization, but reduce these "charms" to a minimum. For example, a small wind turbine or mini-hydroelectric power station, which at first will provide our needs for electricity for lighting houses and, at most, for simple household appliances. Each ecovillage is quite capable of organizing the generation of electricity on a small, non-polluting scale. Then centralized power plants can be closed, which will save the planet from the emission of billions of tons of carbon dioxide generated by burning coal, while 84% of all power plants on Earth operate on coal and gas. The ecocide of the Earth will be stopped, and our planet will begin to restore what we have already destroyed.

There is no need to extract oil and gas anymore, let them remain in the ground. We are able to organize environmentally friendly transport, for example, powered by wind and solar energy, but it should also be minimized. We must greatly reduce our energy appetite, learn to live without using such a huge amount of energy as we do now.

Care for nature and the priority of ecology should be enshrined in the Universal Constitution of the Planet, which should consist of just one phrase:

"A person is obliged to take care of his common home - the planet Earth and by his action or inaction not to allow any harm to be done to it."

Everything. Nothing else is needed, the entire Constitution, the Supreme Law of life on our planet in one phrase.

Yes, the transition to a low-tech, green society will not be easy. Yes, on the way to it, many difficulties will await us, but let's look at the alternative, what will happen if we are inactive.

The cost of our inaction can be extremely high. After the end of the epidemic, most companies go bankrupt, and clever businessmen will buy them for a penny. A planetary oligarchy will reign, where everything will belong to a bunch of trillionaires who have filled their pockets during the crisis. People will work for food given out on coupons, they will continue to drag out a miserable existence in prisons-megalopolises, where instead of clean air and nature, everyone is given a concrete cage with a room for hygiene needs. Eating chemistry, getting sick and dying watching TV. Do you want such a future for yourself and for your children? If so, then please don't read this article any further. Further we will talk about the fact that the main wealth, the main goal of the existence of our species on this planet should be spiritual, not material values. Not iPhones and Mercedes, but culture, morality, respect for one's neighbor, we need spirituality, not fashionable disposable rags and pieces of iron.

Our most important goal is spiritual self-improvement. And we have room to grow. We need to get rid of selfishness, overcome aggressiveness, learn to respect our neighbors, raise the level of culture and morality. In such eco-settlements, a new (or well-forgotten) morality and ethics should be born.

It would be good for our biological species to heal from the virus of greed and money-grubbing, aggression and other negative qualities. This is exactly what we must do in ecovillages. In them, we can create a new morality and raise a person to an unprecedented, never-before-existing height - to create a person-creator, a person of unprecedented, never before seen moral qualities, devoid of selfishness, who cannot lie and deceive for his own benefit.

In short, we must kill the virus of selfishness in ourselves, and getting rid of it will be much more difficult than getting rid of the coronavirus.

This is a very difficult task in fact. Much more complicated than sending a man into space or inventing the hadron collider.

We must understand one simple truth. In order to build a developed, progressive society on Earth, we need to change internally. External revolutions do not change anything, we need a revolution of consciousness, and not a duty seizure of power by this or that group, hiding behind the fig leaf of yet another ideology. If we want to change something in this world, we must change ourselves.

Yes, it will not be easy, to create a new world, especially from those people we have become, having become corrupted by the technological "paradise" in which we now live. Well, or hell, to be very precise. It may take centuries or even millennia to create such a new person, but this is real. That's why we are an intelligent species to draw conclusions from our mistakes. And when we finally become such people, we will be able to return to technologies, but not ordinary technologies, but technologies of a much higher level.

Technologies that will fit into the environment, which will be aimed at saving, not destroying the planet. Now we don't even know about them, but as we spiritually improve ourselves they will appear, this will be a reward for our spiritual development. It is quite possible that a few hundred or even thousands of years later we will invent ways to travel through space, go to distant stars, if the Earth is a space prison, as some supporters of modern esotericism like to say, then the only way to get out of it is to become moral, highly spiritual creatures, and not rivet metal cans powered by heptyl, which cannot take us beyond our orbit.

For modern man, the path to space is closed - the Universe will not allow a greedy, selfish creature, driven by a thirst for profit, to creep through space. But as soon as we change, the attitude of the Universe to us will also change. It is quite possible that all our dreams of conquering space and the transition from planetary to galactic form will still come true, but the path to such a transformation lies only through spiritual self-improvement, and not through primitive technologies. This is a dead end road. And the path is real, reliable and most importantly - safe lies right under our feet, our task is only to find this path and follow it, and everything else will follow.
