Human civilization has long awaited a global catastrophe of an apocalyptic nature. As soon as the first religious teachings and laws of God appeared, people realized that they were sinful and began to wait for the day when the punishment of heaven would fall on the earth. In this regard, many people of antiquity, and our contemporaries, have made and continue to make various predictions. The likelihood of making a prediction grows with our knowledge of the world.

Once the end of the world was presented as lightning killing all living things, in the Middle Ages, due to objective reasons, the end of the world was a global pandemic epidemic. This is not surprising, since the plague destroyed entire cities. Even today, the likelihood of a pandemic is extremely high and poses an immediate threat to all of humanity. In the 60s of the last century, the apocalypse was presented in the form of an exchange of nuclear strikes, and this is not surprising. Even a relatively small number of nuclear warheads will be enough to destroy all life, at least on our continent. But fortunately, tensions between the countries subsided and the likelihood of such a war dropped sharply, but not permanently.

While exploring the depths of outer space, we discovered a huge number of things that can bring death to our planet. Asteroids, comets, solar flares, explosions of distant stars - all this can really put a fat point in our history.

In addition to sound scientific theories, pseudoscientific ones have appeared and continue to appear. These include the theory of the death of the world due to the so-called "parade of planets." This rare astronomical event does take place, but it did not bring the end of the world, and we continue our existence.

With the help of powerful telescopes and automatic probes, humanity has turned its gaze beyond the boundaries of our solar system. More recently, several scientists from the United States of America, according to a number of indirect signs, complex mathematical calculations and data obtained with the help of powerful telescopes and probes, suggested that beyond Pluto there is a new planet unknown to us, the dimensions of which are comparable to Jupiter, and the gravitational effect on the asteroid belt is so large that it poses a threat to our planet! The discovered planet was named "Planet X"

Studying the distant worlds and planets of our solar system, a group of researchers drew attention to the illogicality of the orbits of some planets. The fact is that the orbital axes of the two planets were elongated in the same direction, as if they were attracted by something. But the orbits are stretched not towards the sun, but towards the cosmic darkness, where nothing should be. Even then, the assumption arose that there could be a planet of colossal dimensions. And more recently, circumstantial evidence has been obtained to support the assumptions. This planet is 12 times the mass of the Earth. This is an amazing and startling discovery, if not for some warning signs. First, according to the assumption of American scientists, the planet has its own asteroid belt. Secondly, its gravity is incredibly high and the planet's orbit is unstable. Because of what it was also called a wandering planet. And thirdly, this planet is close to the Kuiper belt. The Kuiper Belt is a huge cluster of asteroids at the edge of our solar system. It can rightfully be called the outer boundary of the solar system. By itself, the Kuiper belt does not pose any threat to our planet. But if there really is a planet so sick in size beyond Pluto, then this is already a potential threat.

The planet itself is safe, but the threat lies in its gravitational effect on its own asteroid belt, if any, and on the Kuiper belt. In other words, the planet is capable of changing the location of asteroids when it interacts with them. It is capable of using its own gravity to grab a large asteroid from the Kuiper belt, by the force of its gravity to disperse it and launch it directly into the solar system. Fortunately, the likelihood of such an event is not great, the planet's own asteroid belt is much more dangerous. The gravity of the other planets in the solar system and Planet X, of course, interacts with each other. As a result, asteroids from the belt can also be sent on a flight into the interior of the solar system. Of course, this is a very, very unintended hit, the likelihood that the asteroid will successfully reach Earth is extremely small. Indeed, on the way, it will inevitably change its trajectory under the influence of the gravity of other planets. However, if it is an asteroid of enormous size, its collision with one of the planets can shift its orbit. And in the solar system, everything is interconnected. Changing the orbit of any of the planets will lead to global consequences. Even so, there is a possibility that the earth will gradually become uninhabitable, for example, similar to Mars.

But the threat lies not only in asteroids. According to some assumptions, this is a wandering planet. She can change her location. For a planet with such a mass, this is more than serious. There is a small chance that the planet will move through the solar system before entering its final orbit. Such powerful gravitational disturbances are guaranteed to change the Earth, even if the planet just flies by. If Planet X interacts with one of the gas giants and collides with it, it will also be a terrible catastrophe for us. The changes that will follow will also destroy all life on Earth. The worst thing is that all this can begin at any moment, and we will not even feel it. The apocalypse does not have to be lightning fast. It is likely that only high-precision instruments will be able to record changes at first. In this case, life from the Earth can go very slowly. First, the temperature will drop or rise. Depending on what happens to our orbit. If it is close to the sun, then all life will gradually burn out. If, on the contrary, farther from the sun, then the Earth will become cold and many forms of life will perish. Time zones will change, and possibly even a magnetic pole shift. One way or another, all this is fraught with a global catastrophe. If the Earth collides with the Moon, which may well happen if planet X gets inside the solar system, then the Earth will definitely become a lifeless, molten piece of stone in a few hours. Over time, it will become similar to Mars.
