Monologues of people who do not believe they will live to see retirement. Residents of different settlements of the Saratov region, who will be directly affected by the pension reform, tell how they are going to live without a pension in the coming years.

Vera Kuznetsova, 54 years old, the city of Pugachev:

LET'S GO IN THE CLEANER! LET'S RISE THERE

I was born on January 8, 1964 - they started with us. Eight days decided everything!

For the last 13 years I have worked in the Magnit store - I was there for the seller, and for the accountant, and for the loader. But this winter, people came and carried out a test purchase of alcohol, and then introduced themselves as social activists (some kind of "Saratov public control to protect consumer rights") and offered me to pay them, otherwise the case will be brought to court. I haven't paid. Then the police came to my house - the conversation was about ransomware scammers, but the protocol did not say a word about it. They told me: you have to sign here. They showed me with a fingernail where and how. I, like a fool, signed everywhere … I fought for two months - there were two trials, then an appeal. The employer did not help me in any way, they did not provide a lawyer. Our courts decided that I was to blame, and I was left without work.

I have a library education, but they will not take me to the library, because other people's old people are not needed there, there are enough of our own. Girls, over there, are younger than me - and they also do not take. In Pugachev, we have no other jobs other than trade. But in trade you need young and beautiful.

So I was left not only without work, but also without health - I ended up in an oncological center with breast cancer. I’m going there again, I don’t know what kind of shisha … I discovered a tumor in 2012, it was a sluggish process. Then in 2015 the disease worsened, and in 2017 it got even worse … The doctors told me so: the stress worsened.

In Pugachev, we have no medical assistance at all. At the site, a paramedic sits behind a doctor, there are not enough specialists - everyone left here. Garbage dumps are burning, people are dying like flies. So I think whether I will live to retire or not.

The husband also does not work anywhere now. He is 1960 - he is now waiting for a pension for four years. He is my builder. He lost two fingers at work and has eight hernias on his spine. Disability is not given to him - you know how difficult it is to get a disability. My husband, in fact, is such a person that he will never go to the doctors and beg for a group for himself.

Now they are raising tariffs for garbage, for water, for everything. The communal area is exorbitant! On average, we give back five thousand rubles a month. And I have an unemployment benefit - 4900. We don't even have a vegetable garden. I do not know how we will make ends meet … Let's go through the trash heaps! We'll queue up there. In the queue - because there are already so many people gathering there, there will not be enough for everyone.

My friends live the same way. None of the pensioners I know have an exorbitant pension of 14 thousand rubles - 8-9 thousand for everyone. Sometimes it comes to the ridiculous: people run, collect documents for retirement, and they are told: eight two hundred. And if, he says, I would not collect documents, how many came out? - Eight hundred. Imagine what a mockery! You come to a pension fund - they seem to be giving you a pension out of their own pocket.

WE ARE ALL SHOCKED BY PENSION REFORM. I ONLY HALF A YEAR BEFORE PENSION - I THOUGHT I WILL LIVE UP TO IT AND IT WILL BECOME EASIER … I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO COMMENT VOLODIN'S WORDS ABOUT THAT PENSION MAY NOT BE AT ALL! WE, IT MEANS, HAVE DISTRIBUTED TO PENSION - BUT WE HAVE CLICKED INTO THE POCKET AND DRAWED OUT OUR MONEY

In the West, pensioners travel, and we sit sucking paws. And we have … a country that defeated fascism … look at what it has become. What are they hoping for - that people will keep silent ?!

Ivan Safronov, 55 years old, Stepnoye village:

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE STATE IS GOING FOR AGAINST ITS SAME PEOPLE

I was born in 1963, that is, I will retire in exactly ten years. Whether I live to 2028 is as God willing.

I've been working my whole life. He worked in drilling for 32 years, then his health deteriorated. The driller is hard work, of course. Due to the traveling nature of my work, eating dry food, I got myself an ulcer. I had to go to the slingers in the same organization. This is the largest enterprise in the region. Now Muscovites have taken us - jobs have been cut, but we are still holding on. I am left at work so far only out of respect for long experience.

I'm afraid I won't be able to stay in this job until my retirement - after all, it requires physical strength and health … But, to be honest, there is nothing to change jobs for in our region. It is generally impossible to get a job somewhere in the pre-retirement age. You can, of course, go to a small individual - “bring it there, give it,” but officially no one will take it.

I DON'T KNOW ANYONE AMONG MY KNOWLEDGE WHO WOULD SUPPORT THE PENSION REFORM. THIS IS STILL LUCKY FOR ME - THERE IS A WORK, THE FAMILY SUPPORTS, AND OTHERS ARE NOTHING TO LIVE ON. RECENTLY I WENT ON A SINGLE PICKET - NOT FOR MYSELF, BUT FOR ALL OF US. GOT UP WITH A POSTER IN A CLOSER PLACE - THE POLICE COMES TO ME AND DEMANDED TO GO WITH THEM TO THE DEPARTMENT

I ask them why they are taking them away - they say they called from the administration and told me so. Well, my comrades stood up for me. We went to the police station, but they could not show us anything. I do not understand why the state is going against its own people.

Elena Filimonova, 49 years old

(name changed at the request of the interlocutor):

IT REMAINED ONLY TO LEGALIZE EUTHANASIA. OR BETTER BUILD GAS CHAMBERS

- I was born in 1969, that is, after the adoption of the pension reform, I will retire at 61. Specifically, I am 12 years old until retirement. I don’t know how to live these 12 years!

The husband is 8 years older. He was not even very upset, although he knows perfectly well that he will not live to see retirement. He has never been a drunk, grew up in a deeply religious Muslim family, does not drink, does not smoke, does not use foul language, worked all his life - and will die from this.

Recently, at his work, at a tire changer, the question arose that, because of the cash register, some of the official employees should be removed. The husband told the employer: “Okay, I will work unofficially for you. Because it's all the same that forty - that forty-three years of experience - my pension will be minimal. And if God decides, I will never live to see her. I will work while my legs are walking."

My father died at 58 years old, his brother did not live up to sixty for three months. Neither one nor the other, having worked for forty years, did not receive a single pension. Here they made a gift to the state!

THERE IS THE SAME ANECDOTE: “CHEKHOV DIED AT 44 YEARS. PUSHKIN AT 37. Esenin hung himself. MAYAKOVSKY FIRED. WHAT DID YOU DO FOR THE RUSSIAN PENSION FUND ?! " NO, IMITATE MAYAKOVSKY AND ESENIN IS NOT NECESSARY, THEY HAVE WORKED A LITTLE! AND HERE LIFE 59 YEARS, WORK FOR 40 OF THEM, SERVE IN THE ARMY, AND DIE THREE MONTHS BEFORE PENSION - THIS IS A GIFT TO THE STATE! AND NOW WE WILL ALL GIVE HIM GIFTS

I was still able to give my daughter an education: she studied to be a chemist, graduated from the magistracy in Belgium. The son-in-law's salary is enough, somehow. They have one child and they will no longer give birth. Earlier, my daughter said: I, mom, still think that when you retire, we will give birth to a second … Now, of course, there can be no question of this. There are few specialists in such a profile as a daughter, she is offered a good job. But there is a secure facility: by half-past seven you need to be in place, everything is strict. But what to do with a small child if he suddenly gets sick? Now, if I were retired … But I am 12 years old before retirement, and when I leave, my grandson will be 17 years old. Will he need me then ?! Who am I to him? I didn’t nurse him, didn’t raise him, didn’t help him in any way …

You took away our grandchildren, children, husbands! What are you doing?!

You can't say this to a believer, but imagine, I perfectly understand people who commit suicide … When a person is brought to such a state that he does not see his future, he does not see tomorrow.

One of my relatives - a colonel of sixty years old, a wealthy man - said this: I, he says, went through everything - Afghanistan, Tskhinval, Nagorno-Karabakh, wars, earthquakes, fires, I saw the grief of people who lost everything - but such horror as now our people, I have not yet seen! I say: maybe you are confusing something? - No no. Those people wanted to live because they had hope for the future, but now people have no hope.

After the adoption of this reform, all that remained was to legalize euthanasia. Or is it better to build gas chambers.

I understand that my words will not change anything. I just think, where is this end, and what will it be? Sometimes it seems to me that it would be better if the Americans captured us - at least they will feed us that way. Well, let not us, but at least our children. I don't know what else to say … I just look at people and think: there is no future for us or our children.

At least in our youth we still hoped for something. We were at least deceived, they promised us a bright future, they said: be patient a little and everything will work out. And people endured. And now people can't even lie like that. And if they lie, no one will believe it.

We may be below the middle class, but we have a small house, an old car, we can afford if not meat, but at least chicken. But I know how others live. I have been working in the post office for 26 years for a salary of 9600. Some were born and raised before my eyes - then she went pregnant, and now this teenager comes to the post office to receive Chinese parcels. A woman I know comes up to me and says: please lend a hundred rubles, I’ll buy sugar and bread with them - I’ll feed the child with sweet tea and bread. And I look at her - I would give her even three hundred rubles, but she will not take, because she will have nothing to give.

The people are in despair. In our country, people are waiting for this pension as a salvation from despair. Yes, she's awful. Yes, she's only eight thousand - but you can earn a little extra money: take care of the grandmas, wash the floors, knit and sell socks - and somehow survive. And if you suddenly got up even in the morning and that's it, you can't go to work - you know that your meager pension will be brought to you. Somehow, I will plant a bucket of potatoes by touch, I will cultivate a vegetable garden and survive. And of these eight thousand, I will return you half again. You won't forgive me in any way that I have no money! You will demand from me for a communal apartment, taxes on land, on property - and how can I pay you ?! I no longer think about myself that I will have nothing to live on, but think about what I will pay with you, the servants of the people!
