How are Christmas tree decorations made? Recently I managed to visit one of the factories for the production of glass Christmas tree decorations in Nizhny Novgorod and spy on this process. Want to see it too?

Before getting to the production itself, I suggest admiring the exhibition samples, which are located on the first floor of the building:

Here is a real New Year's fairy tale:

In one part of the hall there are old Christmas tree decorations that were used to decorate the Christmas tree during the Soviet era:

And this is how a modern tree should look like. The latest peep of fashion:

The Ariel Christmas tree decorations factory has been producing for 20 years. Look at what beauty:

You can make a special order and the balloons will be decorated with images according to your order. For example, a series ordered by the metro:

It is in Russia that such decorations are relevant in the New Year, and abroad they are used all year round. Therefore, there is no downtime at the factory even in summer - they draw and send balloons to the United States and other countries (even balloons with the image of Obama were made by special order). And this is the continuation of the series about the metro:

Only women work in production, their only man is the director. He also came up with the idea to make the rafters under the roof in the form of a Christmas tree:

Here you can also buy their toys (a little patience and we will go to production):

You can arrange a photo session in a fabulous setting:

So, we go up to the second floor. The main artist of the factory develops sketches and comes up with plots, which will then be applied to jewelry:

The following long glass tubes come into production:

The tube is heated and divided into several small pieces:

Heated, pulled:

Shared:

Next, the workpiece is heated and the product of the required shape is blown out (there are special shapes):

This workshop occupies one small office and only 4 people work here.

Then the toys go to the artists

There are 3 times more artists than glassblowers:

Each artist applies a certain plot. All this is done by hand, but the drawings on the balls are practically indistinguishable from each other:

The drawing is applied in several stages: a toy is taken and one layer of paint is applied, while the paint dries on it, the artist applies the main color to the second toy, etc. Then the artist returns to the first one and draws part of the plot and again hangs the toy, etc.

And then the toys are packed and sent to the store:). It seems that this is all easy and simple. Let's check it out!

We were invited to a special class, where they offered to decorate the toy ourselves. At work: alexey_donskoy, martin and filonova_olga:

Alexey took a picture of me too:

An artist from me is so-so, so I got some kind of crooked Christmas tree:)) I brought it with me, I will definitely hang it on the tree this year))

As you understood, production is relatively small, but, they say, there is no end of orders. The factory is located in this pretty house:

This is how Christmas tree decorations are made! Happy New Year!
