Every summer, anyone who runs the risk of leaving the city faces the same problem - mosquitoes. These small insects can spoil a lot of blood, both literally and figuratively. In this situation, it remains only to go and purchase some remedy for annoying insects.

You can make a mosquito repellent with your own hands. Fortunately, this is not as difficult as it seems at first glance.

What is needed

To create the best anti-mosquito remedy, we need two different sized cans, with and without a lid. You will need birch bark, as well as alcohol or alcohol-containing liquid, the strength of which is at least 40 degrees. Finally, you need matches and brushwood for a small fire. You will also need a jar, a bottle for a ready-made product.

Cooking process

Gathering birch bark, you do not need to rush with a knife to the first standing tree. Bark from fallen trees is perfect. Such bark will be even better, because it contains much more tar than fresh. So, it is birch tar that will be the basis for our product. In order to get tar, the bark should be cut into strips the size of a can. The bark should be laid as tightly as possible.

After hammering the first can with bark, take the second (smaller) and dig it into the ground. We return to the jar with bark and make a hole in its bottom. This can be done with a nail. We close it with a lid and set it on the dug in the ground so that the hole looks down. It remains only to cover the structure with brushwood and set it on fire.

The fire must be maintained for an hour. The main thing is to make sure that the flame and coal completely cover the upper vessel.

Congratulations, you just got the tar! Now you need to pour alcohol into it. The mixing ratio is 1 to 2, for one part of tar, boldly pour two parts of vodka. Shake thoroughly and now the product is ready. You can soak some cloth with it.
