I never cease to be amazed.

It turns out that there is nothing tastier in the world than simple homemade cheese and homemade black bread, and if it is also prepared by your beloved woman.

Such a discovery happened to me last year, when we bought a cow and started making our own cheese and then baking real black yeast-free bread. And today, after a long break, the cow was at launch, the cheese was made again and I could not help but share my joy. It's great and amazing how simple peasant food can delight with its taste and sensations. I am sure that you cannot taste such food in more than one restaurant in the world. I'm a sophisticated person in this, I've been to different restaurants, I cook well myself, but now we have stopped going to restaurants, as by itself the desire to go there has disappeared, the food prepared there has ceased to please.

I recall the images of poverty formed in consciousness, maybe from school textbooks or films: - a peasant slicing brown bread, milk or cheese on the table. When I now cut off the crumb of bread, inhale its aroma, enjoy the taste, I feel sorry for all the rich people in the world (not too bad) because they are not given this and no money can buy it. Not only the rich, but the vast majority of humanity have deprived themselves of such simple joy. After all, there is not only the aroma of bread, but the warmth of hands, the warmth of grown plants, the warmth of a beloved cow in the cheese and even the warmth of a leaven made with love, she is also alive and also appreciates human love and gives her love as best she can.

And what is also interesting is that this food, excellent in all respects, is also practically free. Almost everything necessary from food, a person can grow himself, I was convinced of this from my own experience. Our family has long since switched to almost complete self-sufficiency, with the exception of sugar, salt, and rust. oils in the store we rarely buy. Not out of economy. It is simply not edible, even children have already stopped responding to "pretty candy wrappers", it happens that they are tempted by something, try it, but throw it out later (good chocolate is an exception). And what is interesting, it turns out that the production and growing of our own food takes very little time (with the skills of course). From my own experience - for a family of four you need to spend a maximum of two hours a day, and we are not vegetarians, we keep many pets and poultry, we grow a lot of vegetables so that we distribute to friends and acquaintances and sell the surplus. And how many people in the modern world should spend working time to provide a family with food? I will not speak about the quality of these products. And the fact that at this time he is cut off from his family and from his main function - raising children.

About the cow.

The World is arranged in an interesting way (or so it was arranged). A person first creates a problem for himself, and then does not know how to solve it. There is an opinion that keeping a cow is difficult and burdensome, and even practically impossible for a "modern" person. - In the city, of course. You can't live in a village without a cow. This is wrong. And not at all burdensome. They say that a cow requires constant attention, you can't get away from it, it's hard.

It depends on how you look at it? I spend 30 minutes on milking and feeding. in the morning and in the evening, for me it is a pleasure and happiness to get up early, meet the sun, enjoy the new day and all the pets, and also exercise. It turns out in 30 minutes in the morning, besides the fact that you are charged with energy, you also “bring” milk, cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream of excellent quality to the house, in such an amount that there is also left for sale. Making hay is also a pleasure from physical work. Urban people are forced to go to the gym and pay for it if they want to have a healthy body. We strengthen our health by working for our pleasure in the fresh air and we have another bonus - wonderful healthy food.

Regarding the fact that it is impossible to leave the cow anywhere. Well, where to leave? After all, all the most interesting happens at home, in the family. As a last resort, someone can always replace. We have a lot of friends, we have enough time for communication between milking, every year we go skiing to Europe on vacation, then the cow is at the start.

I have a very good friend - the manager of a large agricultural enterprise maintains 500 cows. Once he asked me: Well, why do you need one cow, build at least a farm for at least 70 heads. And I asked him: "Where does he get milk for his grandchildren?" - "In the store." - was the answer. And which of us d….k, why money, a farm, cows if your grandchildren drink poisoned milk. People are obsessed with money, but you can't eat it, and no money can buy healthy food, it can only be grown by yourself. And it's pretty simple and enjoyable. And yet, a cow is independence from any crises. Having a cow, the family will always be full and dressed, and only two hours a day.
