Indeed, it would be natural to expect meticulous attention and meticulous analysis of what was proposed to be taken on faith from the main competitor in the lunar race. After all, the event, in everyday language, happened at a great distance, without witnesses, and who knows what really happened there. But no, not a word of disbelief followed. Not a shadow of doubt fell on the rival's triumph. Why?

Years passed, then decades, and now books have been written about the ambiguities of those flights, and many questions have been asked in them, to which the public has not yet received convincing answers. What independent researchers saw over time was most likely obvious to Soviet space specialists from the very beginning. But - silence. Moreover, cosmonaut Leonov and other well-known figures of the Soviet space assured and still assure that the Americans are here everything is clear and there is nothing to doubt.

Nevertheless, a huge number of people doubted and doubted, and the advice "Take everything on trust" does not work for them, especially since our defenders of American achievements do not give intelligible answers to many questions.

But if you put the question in a slightly different plane - not "why", but "why" the USSR was silent - the picture gradually acquires its logical completeness.

Indeed, the end of the Cold War, "detente", a thaw in relations with the United States and the entire Western world, and many other, as they say now, preferences received by the USSR in foreign policy, coincided with the American lunar program in an amazing way. Why did these gifts of fate fall on him?

The reasons for our political leadership of that time could be as follows. First, the curtailment of the lunar program saved the country many billions of by no means superfluous rubles. After the flights of unmanned ships and the landings of automatic vehicles, it was clear that there was nothing special there, and even though there was, you won’t take it, because it’s terribly far from the people, and he didn’t need it.

But that's not all, as the guy from the recent TV commercial liked to say. The embargo on Soviet oil supplies to Western Europe was lifted, we began to penetrate their gas market, where we are successfully working to this day. An agreement was concluded on the supply of American grain to the USSR at prices below the world average, which negatively affected the welfare of the Americans themselves.

Here is what the American researcher of the history of the lunar race R. Rene writes about this: “A logical question that many have asked and continue to ask: if we actually did not fly anywhere, then why did the Soviet Union not notice the fraud? Or didn't you want to notice? On this score, I have some thoughts. While our valiant army was fighting communism in Vietnam and other countries of Southeast Asia, we sold megatons of grain to the Soviet Union at an ultra-low price. On July 8, 1972, our government shocked the whole world by announcing the sale of about a quarter of our crop to the Soviet Union at a fixed price of $ 1.63 per bushel (36.4 liters - Ed.). The next harvest the Russians would receive another 10-20% cheaper. The market value of grain domestically was $ 1.50, but immediately jumped to $ 2.44. Guess who paid the difference? That's right, our taxpayers. Our prices for bread and meat jumped overnight, reflecting this sudden shortage. What pretty penny did this moon fly to us? There was a lot of money at stake, not to mention America's prestige. The goal in this case justified any means."

It is also believed that Western companies built chemical plants in the USSR in exchange for the finished products of the same plants, that is, the USSR received modern enterprises without investing a penny from itself. The auto giant KamAZ was built with active American participation and much more. This was an economic benefit of many tens of billions of rubles a year. The 5 billion that the USSR spent in ten years on the lunar rocket "N-1" faded before it. From a purely economic point of view, the delivery of the lunar program together with "N-1" paid off a hundredfold, if we bear in mind the immediate (for several years) economic interest.

Military confrontation, the cold war and the constant threat of a full-fledged nuclear catastrophe are a thing of the past. The pinnacle of "detente" was the 1975 Helsinki Act, which affirmed the inviolability of the borders established in Europe after World War II. A seemingly eternal peace has come between East and West!

In addition, by keeping silent about the US lunar scam, the Soviet leadership could put pressure on its political enemy under the threat of exposure. And, judging by the impressive foreign policy successes of the USSR, it was successful.

Another version of the amazing "complaisance" of the Soviet authorities, who did not make a fuss, despite the fact that the US "lunar program" was an ordinary scam, is that the Americans could blackmail the US with information that the US had exactly how Joseph Stalin died. He died not by his own death, but was killed.

The Americans tried to blackmail him with a war in connection with the Cuban missile crisis. And what?”- writes Mukhin), namely Brezhnev, who replaced him.

The confidence that with the famous "flight" of American "Apollo" to the moon, to put it mildly, not everything is clear, arose among observers who can think independently almost immediately after this "triumph" was loudly announced.

For many years, it was believed that for the first time that the lunar epic was a hoax was announced by the American writer Bill Kaysing, who published the book "We Never Went to the Moon" in 1976. But he turned out to be far from the first: in 1970 (that is, the next year after the "triumph"!) Mathematician J. Kraini's book "Did man land on the Moon?" ("Has a man landed on the moon?"), In which he questioned the very fact of landing. So the official version began to burst at the seams from the very beginning.

It is especially worth noting that this mistrust did not originate in the Soviet Union, which would be natural, given the confrontation between the two superpowers within the framework of the Cold War, but in the United States itself. And this is long before such American provocations as September 11, 2001 or the falsification of information about Saddam Hussein's possession of weapons of mass destruction.

It was Bill Kaysing who first formulated the main theses that leave no stone unturned from the official version of events:

• The level of technological development of NASA did not allow to send a man to the moon.

• The absence of stars in photographs from the lunar surface.

• The astronauts' film was supposed to melt from the midday temperature on the Moon.

• Various optical anomalies in photographs.

• Waving flag in a vacuum.

• Smooth surface instead of craters that should have formed as a result of the landing of lunar modules from their engines.

All these points will be discussed in more detail below. However, I would like to add a few more questions to them, the answers to which I would very much like to receive from those who still claim that the American landing on the Moon is not a myth, but a reality, who declare the "backwardness of the USSR", which supposedly follows from this mythical landing.

First … If the US "lunar program" marked such an "unprecedented breakthrough", then why was it so urgently curtailed? Moreover, this haste is emphasized by the Americans themselves, who are quite loyal to the official version of events. “Despite all the lessons learned from the Apollo program, it left the American stage at an astonishing rate,” writes the author of NASA. The Complete Illustrated History "Michael Horn. There is no answer to this question, except for the thoughtful reasoning that she, they say, fulfilled her task: “shattered the illusion of Soviet technical superiority and showed that the American economic model has its merits” (we again quote M. Gorn). In other words, the Moor has done his job - the Moor can leave.

Second … Again, if the mock moon landing did take place, then why did it not lead to a breakthrough in the American space program? Why, after more than 40 years, the United States, allegedly proving its superiority, are forced to completely curtail the flights of their falling with an unprecedented (for such a "technologically advanced" country) frequency of "shuttles" and almost humiliatingly forced to ask for Russian "Soyuz" "Thrown" to the ISS?

Further. Whenever designers manage to create a workable product (for example, a rocket engine), it will be in production for a long time, constantly improving. And the Americans, claiming that 40 years ago they created an F-1 liquid jet engine with a thrust of 600 tons for their lunar program, currently have the Soviet RD-180 engine with a thrust of 390 tons as the most powerful rocket engine, although they should have improved their mythical F-1 up to a thrust of at least 1000 tons. But they couldn't. Or was there nothing to improve?

The list of these questions goes on and on, and there is no clear, reasonable answer to them. And it will not, because it is impossible to prove what was not. It is impossible to prove that the Americans were on the moon. Just because they never flew there. And the main thing is that many in the world are well aware of this. They have known for a long time and understand everything perfectly. Both in the USSR they understood this, and in the West. However (for various reasons) they did and continue to pretend that they believe in the American fairy tale about people on the moon. At least they tacitly accept it. They accept it, despite the abundance of facts that irrefutably testify that the US "lunar program" is nothing more than a grandiose hoax dictated by painful state pride and the need to comply with the status of "the only superpower on the planet", a kind of "flagship of mankind."
