On the site "Russkaya Pravda", an article by an unknown author "Material sources of past civilizations" states:

The roof of one of the temples in the city of Puri in India is made of a monolith with a mass of 20 thousand tons … How such a monolith was brought to the city and raised to the temple, there is no answer

As I understand it, this is about the Jagannath Temple in Puri:

The height of this tower is indicated here - 65 meters. It is over 20 floors.

Indeed, if it is a megalith, then it is impressive. Baalbek and Thunder Stone are resting, if it's true.

Why do I say "if"? Because I do not know anything - maybe this is not one piece of rock but is made of bricks. But hardly.

If, nevertheless, a megalith, then why did they decide that they brought it here, and did not process the rock standing in this place? Perhaps because the lower part of the temple is made of a different material and the border between the lower part and the "roof" is visible.

Also, judging by the surrounding landscape, it could not be a rock, because it is a flat area and it is unlikely that a lone rock stood out of the blue.

Nothing can be stated unequivocally. Too little information.

The main question is why they believe that this monolith was DELIVERED, and not processed on this place the rock that was there, as it was usually done in India?

Anyone who has any information about the Jagannatha temple on the Path - respond.
