JSC Tushinsky Machine-Building Plant (TMZ) - until recently - the largest enterprise in the aerospace industry in Russia. The enterprise was founded in 1932 with the aim of mastering the latest models of the aviation industry (aircraft "Steel-2"). Since 1936 - State Union Plant No. 82 of the People's Commissariat for Heavy Industry.

At different times, the plant produced both military products - front-line fighters Yak-7, Yak-9, and civilian products - trolleybuses, trams, buses. In 1980-1990 (until 1993) the company carried out the construction of manned reusable orbital ships "Buran".

In the early 90s, the plant participated in a construction project Kalmyk wind farmby supplying three wind turbines with a capacity of 1 MW (the only wind turbines of this capacity produced in Russia).

One of the last contracts - supply of equipment for construction Adyghe hydroelectric power stationin 2008-2009.

In Soviet times, the plant employed 28 thousand people, in the early 2000s - about 3500 people, in 2012 there were 1500 people. For 2013, the number of employees was 860 people; according to the bankruptcy commissioner, as of 2013, the number of employees of the enterprise was 886 people, while during the bankruptcy in 2013-2015. 706 employees were dismissed from the enterprise. After the organized bankruptcy procedure of the plant in 2013-2015, no more than 150 people remained in the state.

In 2018, TMZ property was put up for sale at the Avito open auction.

The object is being implemented within the framework of Federal Law-127 "On Insolvency (Bankruptcy)".

The question arises: what about the talk about the revival of high-tech industries, especially in the defense industry?

Already TMZ, which produced "Buran" - where is it more technologically advanced?

Instead, it should be understood that the Moscow government will receive a site for renovation. This has been discussed for a long time, there is a lot of space, you can move all Tushino to a new ghetto. But what about manufacturing? Where and by whom will the future residents of Tushino work in the wonderful new capitalist tomorrow? Waiters, cops, prostitutes on the Volokolamsk highway?

But our overseas friends can be calm - nothing like Buran will fly from Russia anymore …

In addition, OJSC “TMZ”, under an agreement with the Likinsky Bus Plant, has been reworking and equipping LIAZ bus machine sets.

The revision included the installation of saloons, seats, a handrail system, anchorage equipment for wheelchairs, side seats. Installation of ASKP systems - "automated system for controlling the passage of passengers", which includes a validator and a turnstile on the first door of the bus and an additional validator at the second door.

Over the course of 15 years, Moscow has purchased buses with a showroom produced by OAO TMZ.

During this time, the company has accumulated rich experience in the creation of salons, approaching the best examples of the European level.

Hydropower equipment was also produced.

A distinctive feature of the units offered by OJSC "TMZ" was the use of technical solutions allowing to provide a variable (including asynchronous) rotational speed of the mechanical parts of the unit in relation to the frequency of the industrial electrical network. The use of machines with such an important property allows, in comparison with traditional designs, to achieve high performance indicators, as well as cost and economic efficiency.

The designs of the units manufactured at TMZ OJSC favorably differed from the traditional ones. The composition of the equipment produced is turbine-generator blocks with variable speed.

Unit designs meet the following conditions:

- the possibility of their production at OJSC "TMZ" with minimal cooperation with third-party production, which affects the cost of products, allows you to create a basis for flexible and - effective cost management;

- the maximum possible serial production and a reduction in the range of machines, which will make it possible to reduce the costs of production preparation;

- higher reliability, while maintaining the achieved level of energy parameters of existing analogues;

- modern level of automation in the operation of the supplied products.
