And, most importantly, it all happens somehow quietly. It seems that the media deliberately distract the people with various informational rubbish, but the fact that a real industrial boom is taking place in the north-western borders of our country is not a word.

In fact, just 30 kilometers from the European Union, in the Leningrad Region, a completely new city is being built - Ust-Luga. It is designed for 60,000 people. Part of this city has already been built - for 35,000 inhabitants. The rest is planned to be completed by 2030.

Moreover, this city, in the best traditions of the USSR, is growing next to a completely new industrial cluster. That is, about 100 factories are being built there from scratch on a total area of 35 km2. And 17,000 people will work there.

Although … Why "will be"? Many factories have already been built and are operating at full capacity.

Here is a 2019 photo:

Also, a new port has already been built in Ust-Luga, which has grown 140 times over the past 16 years and is already the largest port in the Baltic and the second largest in Russia. Until 2030, it will become the second largest in Europe, second only to Rotterdam (Holland).

And here is what happened on the site of Ust-Luga 16 years ago:

Honestly, I have a feeling that I am now writing about some other country, not about Russia. Why is this not being trumpeted in all the media? After all, the city is already ready, dozens of enterprises are ready, a brand new port is standing and handling 120 million tons of cargo a year!

Perhaps this is part of a big game and undue attention is deliberately not drawn to Ust-Luga. In the same way, no attention was drawn to our military forces for a while. Everyone thought that they had collapsed a long time ago, and then suddenly it turned out that our army had become ultra-modern and capable of performing such effective operations as in Crimea, and the second most powerful NATO member (Turkey) was buying our weapons, not American ones.

However, let's return to the city of Ust-Luga. It was built as a European-style town with only 1/3 of multi-storey housing. And these multi-storey quarters look like this:

The remaining 2/3 of housing is private houses ranging from 35 to 210 meters with plots of land.

Let me remind you that it will not be officials who will live in all this, but the workers of the industrial cluster (17,000 people) and the workers of the port (17,000 more). In total, about 34,000 employees and their family members - that's for whom Ust-Luga is being built.

Is that good news? It is a pity that most of our people remain in the dark and think that nothing is being built in Russia, and everything is just closing …

Well nothing. As I wrote above, about the army, too, everyone said that it was over. And now only she is heard and only the stupidest can say that our armed forces have been destroyed.

I am sure that in 10 years' time, new Russian ports, factories and roads will be heard in the same way. True, even then there will be pessimists for whom everything is bad and "urgently needs to be brought down." But nothing. We will be here and we will do everything to make Russia better.
