And about the fees of athletes - football players, tennis players … and others, the amounts of which are astronomical, I am generally silent. And they're like heroes. Do you want to be a real hero? - Go to fight the world aggressors, extinguish fires, fight crime, save endangered species of animals, test equipment, take care of infected patients … Instead of running in a circle, jumping with a stick, sledding and rolling balls … Well, and the beauty of sports achievements, - to the circus, to the stage, to the fairgrounds … And let the country's anthem play with our scientific, technological, military and creative victories, and not in honor of the fact that the Russian overtook the Ethiopian by jumping over the fence …

Another Athenian politician, legislator and poet, one of the "seven wise men" of ancient Greece Solon, who reduced awards for sports competitions, said that it is not good to go overboard when there are so many fallen in battle, whose children need to be fed and raised at the expense of the people.

Well, when teams with pride and subsequent press conferences buy for the same millions of athletes from other countries, I generally fall into a stupor from a complete lack of understanding of what is happening.

Therefore, football is a means of distracting people from themselves, from the world around them.

As a result of all the above, we can come to the conclusion that carrying out The World Cup in Russia will contribute to the degradation of a significant part of the population, escalating social tension, distracting people from solving essential and pressing problems and can lead to the development of a negative scenario for the future of Russia (remember the "legendary" Olympics-80 and subsequent events). The purpose of this article is to prevent this scenario from developing and to warn people not to succumb to the temptation of the football "contagion."

Improving infrastructure in cities and villages, building a modern transport system is the direct task of the "servants" of the people, and for this it is not necessary to hold championships and olympiads. It is possible to build hundreds of kindergartens, sports and recreation complexes, modern production facilities, provide each family with their own home, improve the health care system, raise public sector employees and pensions to the proper level.and…
