GOLD BEACH

A handsome fellow went into the forest - and saw: a beauty swaying on the branches of a large birch. Her hair is green, like birch leaves, and there is no thread on her body. The beauty saw the guy and laughed so that he got goosebumps. He realized that this was not a simple girl, but a bank.

"Bad business, - thinks. - We must run!"

It is easy to say, but difficult to do. People in the know before Ivan Kupala walk into the forest wearing a cross backwards, and the most intelligent in general wear two crosses: in front and behind, so that the unclean force does not approach from any side. But our guy turned out to be simple-minded, neglected the amulet. And now he caught himself - but it's too late: the bank was hanging from a branch, pulling her hands towards him, laughing, laughing … Just about to pounce, start choking with kisses and chewing to death!

"Well, at least I'll fool myself with the sign of the cross!" - thought the poor fellow in despair. He only raised his hand, hoping that he would cross himself - and the unclean force would perish, but the maiden lamentably cried out:

- Do not chase me, good fellow, beloved groom. Fall in love with me - and I will make you rich!

She began to shake the birch branches - round leaves fell on the guy's head, which turned into gold and silver coins and fell to the ground with a ringing sound. Fathers-lights! A simpleton had never seen so much wealth when he was born. He figured that now he would certainly cut down a new hut, buy a cow, a zealous horse, or even a whole three, he himself would dress up from head to toe in novye and be assigned to the daughter of the richest man. And maybe to the princely. The bank shook his pockets full of money!

The guy could not resist the temptation - he put the green-haired beauty in his arms and, well, kiss her, show mercy on her. The time flew by unnoticed until the evening, and then the bereginya said:

- Come tomorrow - you will get even more gold!

The guy came both tomorrow and the day after tomorrow, and then he came more than once. He knew that he was sinning, but in one week he filled a large chest with gold coins. Yes, and the ghostly beloved was unusually good: after her, I did not even want to look at the peasant and merchant daughters.

But then one day the green-haired beauty disappeared, as if she was not there. I remembered a guy - but after all, Ivan Kupala had passed, and after this holiday in the forest, out of evil spirits, you will only meet a devil. Well, you can't turn back the past. The guy grieved, grieved and calmed down. He was very much comforted by the thought that he had become the richest man in the area!

On reflection, he decided to wait a while with matchmaking, and put the riches into circulation and become a merchant. I opened the chest … and it was filled to the brim with golden birch leaves.

Since then, the guy has become out of his mind. Until his very old age, he wandered from spring to autumn through the forest in the hope of meeting the insidious coastline, but she did not appear again. And he could hear everything, he could hear iridescent laughter and the clink of gold coins falling from birch branches …

Since then, in some places in Russia, fallen foliage is called "the gold of the beregins".

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN

One man got lost in the mountains and already decided that he was finished. He was exhausted without food and water and was ready to rush into the abyss in order to end his torment, when suddenly a beautiful blue bird appeared to him and began to flutter in front of his face, holding him back from a rash act. And when she saw that the man had repented, she flew forward. He followed and soon saw a mountain of crystal ahead. One side of the mountain was white and the other black as soot. The man wanted to climb the mountain, but it was so slippery, as if covered with ice. The man went around the mountain. What a miracle? Fierce winds blow from the black side, black clouds swirl on the mountain, evil beasts howl. The fear is such that you don't want to live!

With the last of his strength, the man climbed to the other side of the mountain - and his heart immediately felt relieved. It is a white day here, sweet-voiced birds are singing, sweet fruits grow on the trees, and clear, transparent streams flow under them. The traveler quenched his hunger and thirst and decided that he was in the very Iriy-garden. The sun shines and warms so tenderly, so welcoming … White clouds flutter next to the sun, and a gray-bearded old man in magnificent white clothes stands on the top of the mountain and drives the clouds away from the face of the sun. Next to him the traveler saw the very bird that saved him from death. The bird flew up to him, and after it a winged dog appeared.

“Sit on it,” the bird said in a human voice. - He will carry you home. And never again dare to take your own life. Remember that luck will always come to the courageous and patient. This is as true as the fact that the night will be replaced by day, and Belbog will defeat Chernobog.

THE TRADITION OF THE FATHER OF THE GODS

When Dyi created the earth, and Rod gave birth to people, they all began to live under the auspices of Svarog, the father of the gods. This first world was a true paradise, in everything similar to the heavenly Iriy: bright, bright, radiant.

Gods-Svarozhichi in heaven lived joyfully and happily, the same life was led by people on earth. And since the world was always illuminated with azure light and there was no night, there were no secrets and secrets, and with them there was no evil. Then there was eternal spring on earth, then nature blossomed and smelled sweet.

This went on for a long time, until Svarog the Creator left to create new stellar worlds. For himself, he left the elder Svarozhich - Dennitsa, whom he entrusted to rule the gods, people, the entire Azure world. Then Dennitsa got the idea to try to create, as Svarog himself did. Dennitsa created new people - helpers for himself and began to rule. But he forgot to breathe a good soul into them, and the first evil happened on earth. First, a shadow appeared, and then night - a time of unkind intentions and deeds.

Almost all Svarozhichi rebelled against the evil and autocracy of Dennitsa. The angry Dennitsa decided to seize the halls of the Creator and destroy their own brothers-gods who protected them.

The war began. Loyal to Svarog Svarozhichi - Perun, Veles, Fire, Stribog and Lada - held fast in the palaces of Svarog.

Perun, shaking the skies, thunder and lightning threw the attackers from the Azure skies, where the palace of Svarog stood. Stribog knocked them down with a whirlwind hurricane. The fire scorched-scorched the rioters, and those, burned, fell to the ground, plunging people into horror.

And then Svarog arrived. He stretched out his right hand - and everything froze. He waved - and all the rebels, like burning stars, rained down from heaven onto the destroyed earth, where now ruins were smoking, forests were burning and rivers and lakes dried up. The falling Dennitsa flashed like a burning star, together with like-minded people broke through the earth, and the earth swallowed up the rebels in its flaming abyss - Pekle -.

So the first world, the first creation of Svarog, perished. So evil was born.

And Svarog raised his palace upward, and protected it with an icy firmament. And on top of the firmament he created a new, beautiful Azure world and transferred Iriy there, and made a new road there - the Star Trek, so that the worthy Iriy could reach it. And he poured water on the burning earth, extinguished it, and from the destroyed, perished, he created a new world, a new nature.

And Svarog commanded all the rebels to atone for their sin and forget their past, to be born as human beings and only improve in suffering in order to achieve what they have lost, and return cleansed to Svarog, to Iriy …

Svarog is the supreme ruler of the Universe, the ancestor of the gods. Svarog, as the personification of the sky, sometimes illuminated by the sun's rays, sometimes covered with clouds and shining with lightning, was recognized as the father of the sun and fire. All the main Slavic gods are the children of Svarog, which is why they are called Svarozhichi.

ALL STONES FATHER

Late in the evening, the hunters returned from Perunova Pad with rich prey: they shot two roe deer, a dozen ducks, and most importantly - a hefty boar, ten poods. One thing is bad: defending against spears, the enraged beast ripped open the thigh of the young Ratibor with its fang. The boy's father tore his shirt, bandaged up a deep wound as best he could, and carried his son, placing him on his mighty back, to his home. Ratibor lies on the bench, groans, and the blood-ore still does not subside, oozes and spreads like a red spot.

There is nothing to do - Ratibor's father had to go to bow to the healer, who lived alone in a hut on the slope of the Snake Mountain. A gray-bearded old man came, looked at the wound, anointed it with a greenish ointment, applied leaves and fragrant grass. And he ordered all the household to get out of the hut. Left alone with Ratibor, the witch doctor bent over the wound and whispered:

On the sea on Okiyan, on Buyan island

There is a white-combustible stone Alatyr.

There is a throne table on that stone, A red maiden is sitting on the table, The seamstress-master, the dawn-charger, Holds a damask needle, Puts a thread of ore-yellow, Sews up a bloody wound.

Break the thread - the blood will bake!

The witch doctor leads over an early gemstone, playing with edges in the light of a torch, whispers, closing his eyes:

White-combustible stone Alatyr -

Father to all stones in the world.

From under a pebble, from under Alatyr

Rivers flowed, rivers are fast

Among the forests, fields, All over the universe, The whole world for food, The whole world for healing.

You, stream, do not stream, -

Blood ore, bake!

The pain in my leg subsided imperceptibly. The lad asked through the slumber:

- And where, elder, your magic pebble, with which you drive over the early, tell?

- How from where? From my grandfather, also a witch and a herbalist. And my grandfather got it at sea on Okiyan, on the island of Buyan.

And again the elder proclaims an ancient saying in a chant:

There are many shipbuilders walking on the sea, They stop at the stone

They take a lot of potions-potions from him, They send white people all over the world.

You, ship, rush to Alatyr, -

Blood ore, bake!

Ratibor slept incessantly for two nights and two days. And when he woke up - no pain in his leg, no healer in the hut. And the wound has already healed.

THE TALE OF THE WATER-QUEEN

Once upon a time there was a handsome fellow, a hereditary blacksmith. I looked after a girl in a neighboring village, celebrated a merry wedding. A year goes by, another, a third - and they have no children. And the blacksmith decided to turn to the sorcerer for advice. He melted the wax, poured it into a bowl of water, and then says:

- The Water Queen is very angry with you. After all, you, blacksmiths, lower the red-hot iron into it, you incessantly quarrel with the fire. Go bow to the queen.

- But where to look for her? the blacksmith asks.

- At Padun-stone, where the river is rustling, gurkotite. So be it, in the morning I'll take you and your wife there.

So they sailed on a boat to Padun-Kamen, where the river rustles and gurkotit, they began to call the Queen Water. And the queen appeared in falling silver streams. The blacksmith told her his sorrow. And she answered:

- I will help, so be it, I will turn away my evil thoughts from you. But if a son is born to you, promise to stay with me for three days and three nights. You will buy me a silver necklace.

The word blacksmith tied himself in, and they returned home. And next spring, here's an unspeakable joy! Kuznetsov's wife gave birth to a son. And he went, as promised, to visit the Water Queen. For three days and three nights, he forged a silver necklace for a feast for the eyes! And when he walked out of the Tsaritsyn's palace into the white light, he saw a gray-haired old woman by Padun-stone, and with her next to a handsome fellow, just like himself, and a clear-eyed youth.

- Look, my son, look, grandchild, the insidious Queen Water lives here. It was she who, many years ago, lured your father and grandfather to her, and my husband, the old woman lamented.

It turned out that the blacksmith had stayed with the Water Queen not three days and three nights, but thirty years and three years. During this time he himself became an old man.

They all hugged, kissed and swam to their native village. The blacksmith turned to say goodbye to Padun-stone, where the water is rustling, gurkotite. And the Queen of Water appeared again in silver streams. And she said:

- Time flows imperceptibly, like water in the Heavenly River.
