The ancient manuscript is believed to have been made in German Lübeck and was written around 1486 and 1488. It is considered one of the first maps to describe the state of the world between 639 and 1514. The ancient manuscript mentions the emergence of Islam, talks about the Antichrist and the Day of Judgment.

The manuscript, compiled entirely in Latin, describes the apocalyptic maps, talks about the Antichrist and the Rise of Islam, after the Day of Judgment on Earth. However, the author predicted that all this would happen in 1651.

Though the author of the ancient manuscript remains a mystery, researchers today speculate that it may have been written by a well-educated physician called "Baptista." Interestingly, the ancient text mentions astrological medicine, which, according to researchers, is ahead of its time.

According to reports, the 15th century apocalypse "map of hell" drawn in Lubeck, Germany is currently in the Huntington Library in San Marino, California. The ancient manuscript begins with a prophecy map describing the state of the world from 639 to 1514. In the manuscript, the author has drawn a circle on the Earth, with water surrounding the wedges of the pie, believed to represent Asia, Africa and Europe.

The writer of the document warns of the rise of Islam and how it poses a growing threat to Christendom.

The apocalyptic manuscript describes another card, The Sword of Islam, and how it conquers Europe while making its way to the rest of the world. The ancient manuscript contains five words placed inside a circle, which symbolizes the planet, each of them is labeled: "He corrects", "He reforms", "He crushes" and "to Rome." The author missed the fifth sword.

Around the depiction of the end of the world, Latin text describes events that are to take place from 1515 to 1570. In addition to the rise of Islam, another map in the manuscript describes the rise of the Antichrist between 1570 and 1600, represented by triangles on the map.

The author illustrated events by drawing four massive horns reaching to the ends of the Earth to illustrate four different lusts if the Antichrist would convince people to follow him: deception, cunning, cruelty and imitation of the Divine, or, in other words, the pretense of the Christian God. After the rise of Islam and the rise of the Antichrist, another account describes a post-apocalyptic era with the law and flag of Christ located in the center of the world from 1606 to 1661.

The text on the right side of the card reads, "He will be nurtured and worshiped throughout the world." Van Duser believes that this indicates the unification of the world under Christian rule. Referring to the Day of Judgment, the author of the ancient text depicted an opening in hell, the gate of Paradise above, with Jesus and the Apostles centered in heaven.

Interestingly, the author stated the distance to Paradise: 777 German miles from Lubeck to Jerusalem, with an additional 1000 miles to the eastern edge of the Earth. The author also calculated the circumference of Earth and Hell, suggesting 8000 and 6100 German miles. However, the ancient apocalyptic manuscript not only speaks of events that should have happened many centuries ago, but also includes a list of astrological medicine and an interesting thesis about geography, considered by mainstream researchers as an unusual achievement ahead of its time.
