- Our acquaintance was strange. Once I got a call from Tbilisi, from the Department of Internal Affairs. They said that some Moscow general had arrived, who wrote songs in his spare time and wanted me to perform them … I couldn’t fight off - in about 20 minutes high-ranking officials came to my house, among them Ekimyan in general's uniform. Reluctantly, I went with them to the studio. But then I listened to songs, about fourteen, and I realized - what I needed! I wrote them down on the fly, the very next day. I didn't even rehearse, they turned out to be so melodic: they just took the text, listened to the music - and sang … In the morning I went into the studio with a bottle of cognac, in the evening came out - there was no cognac, there were songs!.. Hekimyan was very pleased. He called me and said that he wanted to take a picture together for the disk. I replied: “Of course! Just put on a white suit. What do you mean why?! I will sign on your suit, give autographs! " The disc was a huge success. We called it "Wish" - after the song of the same name: "I want the songs to sound, so that the glass is filled with wine." And "Conversation" - from the same place: "So two loneliness met, they made a fire near the road." I still sing these songs at all concerts, people ask …
