Frankincense is a drug used in church services to induce a religious trance (narcotic hypnosis) among visitors to churches, to suppress the will and logical thinking, which has been used since ancient times for religious psychoprogramming (zombification) of the people, and causes mild drug euphoria and addiction. Like any light drug, it contributes to the transition to heavier drugs, such as alcohol, nicotine, heroin, cocaine and others. Under the influence of this drug, a person becomes easily controllable: suggestibility increases when a person ceases to ADEQUATELY perceive reality and goes into a state of illusion, after which he begins to carry religious delirium.

Frankincense - dried juice, resin, (gum) of many plants of the genus Boswellia, the Burseraceae family - Boswellia sacra, Boswellia carterii and others - growing in eastern Africa, Yemen, Somalia. To collect incense in February or March, cuts are made in the tree, from which the resin flows continuously for quite a long time, covering the entire trunk of the tree - until, finally, the wound is healed with the drying sap. Then they collect the dried resin from the tree and from the ground, then the raw materials are divided into two varieties: selected incense - Olibanum electum and ordinary - Olibanum in sortis. Frankincense smoke contains the chemical incensol acetate, which has a narcotic effect on Humans.

Many Orthodox Christians especially value the so-called "Athos incense". A standard souvenir box of incense the size of a matchbox is one of the most popular souvenirs brought by Orthodox pilgrims from Athos.

But few people know that cannabinoids (a group of terpene phenolic compounds derived from 2-substituted 5-amylresorcinol) are specially added to it - especially in the most expensive exquisite "gift" varieties. In nature, they are found in plants of the cannabis family (Cannabaceae), are the active ingredients of hashish and marijuana.

It is not for nothing that they say that a trip to Athos strengthens faith … And whoever has been there, then he is drawn there all his life …

There are no such special additives only in the cheapest everyday varieties of incense. But even "uncharged" incense contains natural narcotic components, but in smaller quantities.

Cannabinoids do not get used to the first time - it takes a while. Therefore, according to the impressions of the trip to Athos, one can easily distinguish between a churched believer and an unchurched one. The churchgoers (already addicted to incense before the trip) certainly note the special grace of the Athonite incense, while the non-churchmen do not notice this feature.

Many are familiar with the expression - "poor as a church mouse", "thin as a church mouse" or "hungry as a church mouse".

Underneath these comparisons is the well-known fact - mice living in the church do not leave the building even at the cost of exhaustion …The church is much poorer in mice food than any nearby residential building, but church mice almost never visit them, and if they do, they are usually immediately visible - they are skinny, greedily grab whatever they get and run back to the church …

The famous physician Paracelsus wrote 550 years ago: “… the smell of incense can attract rather than expel evil spirits. For they are attracted by what is attractive to the senses, and if we want to get rid of them, then it would be more reasonable to use for this purpose aromatic substances that repel them. Will is fully effective against all evil spirits."

Any religion is the consolation of the weak. This is a zombie of weak-minded and weak-willed people. Orthodoxy is especially different: impressive gold-domed churches, with gilded interior decoration, chants, fumigation with incense, burning candles, "holy" icons and "holy" water. Long-term research of specialists of the Institute of the All-Russian Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (VILAR) dedicated to the study of psychoactive action of gums East African plants belonging to the genus Boswellia are under threat of being classified.

The thing is that VILAR specialists managed to get ahead of a group of scientists from the American Johns Hopkins University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, headed by Dr. Raphael Meshulam. The Israeli-American group studied the active components of the sacred Boswelia and Boswelia Carter, also called the "incense tree". In particular, this group found that the main active ingredient of the gums of these plants is incensol acetate, which is part of the incense smoke.

Due to the difficulty of creating a model comparable to the human body, the details of the effect of the active substance of incense on the human psyche could not be studied for a long time.

However, according to the recently published data of the Bulletin of the Academy of Applied Botany, a research group from VILAR, studying the data obtained by foreign colleagues, almost by accident, brought the problem to a new scientific level. A change in behavioral patterns was noticed in people who regularly attend services in the churches of the Russian Orthodox Church.

Researchers at risk to their health managed to obtain samples of incense from the HHS of the Moscow diocese, known for its grace.

It turned out that low molecular weight derivatives of the main biologically active components of gum (frankincense) can be determined in the urine of worshipers using the method of high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

The result of the study was so amazing that the researchers repeated the study many times: in the urine of parishioners, the highest content was found not only of incensol acetate, but also tetrahydrocanabiol, the main psychoactive substance of marijuana, which is not found in urine or frankincense under normal conditions.

The psychiatric part of the study revealed a high correlation between the frequency of patients visiting church services, the concentration of psychoactive components in the urine and the severity of clinical signs of cretinism of mental disorders:

Patients, at the beginning of fumigation with the studied type of incense used in the Russian Orthodox Church, showed signs of acute, but quickly passed hallucinatory intoxication due to incensol:

they could communicate with "higher powers", they saw "our Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit," the surfaces of all objects seemed to them "sprinkled with gold dust", and the "Holy Gifts" seemed to be meat of unknown origin, which they nevertheless eagerly ate, washed down with sacrificial blood at the direction of the priest on duty.

In the final part of the service, the patients completely lost criticism of what was happening, they easily succumbed to suggestion, it was easy for them to evoke emotions, unrestrained laughter, motor excitement was observed: the desire to sing, dance, voice, kiss, the patients began to think that all the people present were brothers..

In the course of long-term studies, the patients of the studied group showed a decrease in the need to assimilate information, they stopped in mental development in the phase of infantility. Also, those who constantly breathed incense showed a complete disappearance of interest from sex life, all attempts to talk about sex caused them irritation, misunderstanding, thoughts of sinfulness.

The only acceptable topic of discussion with a sexual theme was the discussion of "union with God" or, in extreme cases, with the holy father.

At the same time, for themselves, patients have always chosen a receptive, passive role in imaginary sexual intercourse.

An interesting fact is that if the detectable levels of incensol acetate, which is responsible for the occurrence of hallucinatory disorders in patients, lasted only a few hours, then tetracannabiol in all observed cases could be detected even 4 and 6 weeks after the visitworship.

The clinical picture of mental disorders in those who inhaled incense was so pronounced, and manifested itself for such a long time that this pharmacological effect could not fail to interest the corresponding state. structure and VILAR urgently received a formidable letter with a decision from the very top to transfer the study to the department of the first department and with instructions to prohibit publication of the data obtained.

The defense of a couple of doctoral and a dozen master's theses was practically in jeopardy, since the "closed defense regime" means international oblivion and obscurity for graduate students.

"Perhaps Marx was not so wrong when he called religion the opium for the people: morphine was isolated from poppy, cannabinoids from marijuana, and LSD from mushrooms. Each of them was used in one or another religious ceremony," says the editor-in-chief of FASEB Journal Gerald Weissman.

Trying to figure out why opium is described as "incense," I went into the dictionaries and almost immediately came across the statement that the composition of the mixture for smoking in censers in worship was not always the same as it is now. This intrigued, and the texts of the encyclopedias, instead of explaining them, only threw wood into the furnace of suspicion: "The modern church incense," the authors of the articles write, "has little to do with incense resin." And that's it!

I had to go from the simplest - from the meaning and spelling of words. Here it is: "Frankincense - dried sap of plants of the genus Boswellia … Selected incense - Olibanum electum and ordinary - Olibanum in sortis".

And right away - the first question, why is INCENSE called Olibanum? Why not Ladanum? And because Paracelsus was right, and Ladanum (Ladanum, Laudanum, Ledanum, Ladbdanum, La`danon, Lh`danon, Lh ^ don) is a completely different thing, this is a tincture, a tincture of OPIUM in alcohol.

Well, if you remember that myrrh (myrrh) is the same as Balsamea Myrrha, and balm is the main (and top-secret) product of Christian monks from Egyptian Babylonia (in El Mataria, where Mary bathed baby Jesus), then much becomes clear. It is clear why earlier, before the early Muslims seized Egypt, this "balm" grew everywhere in Egypt, and after the change of power - only on the monastic lands - where there were no prying eyes. The sultans even cut their heads off for smoking tobacco for the first time - until they themselves got involved. It is clear why one could lose one's head for trying to smuggle the "balm" through the border posts of the Babylonian Sultanate. Pliny gives a fragment from Democritus about the plant thalassaegle or potamaugis. Pleasant to drink, it induces a delusional state with bizarre visions of a very unusual character. “This thaengelis,” he says, “grows on Mount Libanus in Syria, on the Dikte mountain range in Crete, and also in Babylon and Susa in Persia. Its infusion gives magicians the ability to predict. The same is true for gelotophyllis, a plant found in Bactria and on the slopes of Borisfen. When taken internally with myrrh and wine, all sorts of visual images appear, causing the most immoderate laughter."

The toponym "Libanus" is already suspicious - it is very much reminiscent of the word Olibanum, meaning church incense for worship. Plus grows in Babylon, awakens the ability to predict, and dissolved in wine causes immoderate laughter. Could this be the same mysterious "balm" that grew in El Matariya?

At the same time, a conspiracy of lepers was discovered. The meaning of the crusades

There is enough evidence that the crusaders were primarily interested in "poppy juice", and one should not blame them for this. It was difficult to fight without the only pain reliever at that time.
