How much money can you save by cutting off officials? Where can you see pioneers in Soviet ties today? Why isn't it safe to live in Vietnam? We will answer these and other questions in this seditious issue.
The Socialist Republic of Vietnam is a state in Southeast Asia on the Indochina Peninsula. For hundreds of years Vietnam was a Chinese colony, then it was occupied by France. Vietnam proclaimed its independence only on September 2, 1945, after Japan's surrender, which ended World War II in Asia.
Then again bloody wars, in one of which Vietnam experienced the world's largest use of chemical weapons. The consequences of the chemical attack are still haunting the Vietnamese in the form of the birth of children with various disabilities. The states, which at one time sprayed more than 70 million liters of Agent Orange over Vietnam, believe that there is not sufficient evidence of the connection between the use of chemical weapons and the deformities of children born and have refused payments to the injured Vietnamese for more than a decade. But their victims of the attack, war veterans were paid compensation back in the eighties. But it was a long time ago. Today, the United States is the largest export market for the Republic of Vietnam, and it is also one of the top ten investors in the country's economy.
Such love is not at all because Americans are ashamed of the massacre in Vietnam half a century ago. They just understand that the Vietnamese People's Army is the only force that can oppose China, and this is essential for the American policy of containing China. With China, by the way, Vietnam, despite diplomatic relations and economic ties, still has territorial disputes. And in general they do not dislike Chinese Vietnamese, although they are the main flow of tourists in the country.
Vietnam today is a country with dynamically developing various sectors of the economy, among which there are such as solar energy and even oil production. But the rate of economic growth could have been better if not for the authoritarian political system, which is often called kleptocracy. People close to the Communist Party and their children, the so-called "golden youth", are often appointed to leading positions in privatized firms. Therefore, despite the obvious economic recovery, Vietnam remains a poor country. There are no independent media outlets in Vietnam. The sole ruling Communist Party dictates to journalists how and what to write about. Most of the publishers, editors and journalists themselves are members of the Communist Party. Recently, bloggers have been increasingly in the spotlight of the authorities. Those who challenge the communist monopoly on the right to express their opinion are being silenced by arrests. The social program in the country of socialism leaves much to be desired. For example, the vast majority of older people are in the care of their children, since it is impossible to live on retirement, while half of all money in the country comes from the richest 20% families in Vietnam. Five Vietnamese were added to Forbes magazine's famous billionaire list last year, and one-fifth of the country's population barely has enough to eat. It's kind of familiar, isn't it? In Vietnam, it is "not recommended" to give birth before the age of 28 and have more than two children. Otherwise, there will be problems at work: they may be fired, and they will have to forget about the promotion, but if the husband or wife occupies a high position, then they may be removed from office for the birth of their third child.
Students studying abroad, in the event of pregnancy and childbirth, are deprived of financial support from the state. Moreover, they will have to pay the funds already spent on studies. By the way, since we are talking about fertility, a cesarean section is considered the safest way of delivery in the country. The middle class gives birth in Vietnam only through cesarean. Vietnam, despite the efforts of the state, is a rather criminal country. The percentage of crimes solved is extremely low. Trafficking in persons, usually women and children, is of particular concern.
The detection rate of such crimes is only 10-15%. In recent years, numerous criminal groups have become active from Taiwan, China, Cambodia, South Korea, Malaysia, which operate under the guise of marriage agencies or employment agencies. Traffickers usually search for people aged 17-30, fraudulently seize documents and sell them as labor to sewing workshops, cafes, and entertainment establishments. Many men are forced to participate in the production and sale of drugs, while women are forced into prostitution. Often for the victims, such activities end in tragedy.

What solar panel sellers will never tell you
Two years ago, in the fall of 2015, I installed two solar panels and an inverter on the roof of a country house. From that moment on, I constantly monitor the production and share statistics every year. The first year of operation showed that I can return my investment in solar energy in about 30 years
From city to country: a whole new life
I am a villager. I have a wife and two children. And two more horses, two dogs and two cats. I live far from the city, far from the highway. Between the hills and the forest. And two years ago I was quite a successful city dweller. I lived in the city, studied, received my honors, had fun with friends
Who needs the media template "fans will tell the truth and the West will love us again"?
In recent days, hundreds of assessments of the 2018 FIFA World Cup have been published in blogs, newspapers and on TV, the essence of which was most vividly expressed on July 6 by journalist Andrei Medvedev: “Hundreds of thousands of fans came to us - and instead of Muscovite Mordor they saw a quite hospitable country where they are welcome … We saw comfortable cities, we saw our girls. And so we defeated the stupid Western propaganda
