The United States is threatening to bring the first genetically modified meat to market, a mutant salmon that could crowd out the wild salmon population and pose a threat to human health, but we can stop them before the Frankenstein fish is out into the world.

The new pseudo-salmon grows twice as fast as usual, and even scientists are unable to predict its effects on human health in the long term. However, it is supposed to be proclaimed safe based on research funded by the company that created this genetically modified creature! Fortunately, in the United States, it is legally binding to take public opinion into account when making a final decision. A growing coalition of consumers, environmentalists and fishermen are calling on the government to reject the controversial deal. Let us urgently provide them with powerful support and help them win.

The consultations are taking place right now and we have a real chance to prevent the introduction of the mutant fish to the market. Sign to stop transgenic salmon and tell your friends - When we have secured the support of a million members, our request will be formally sent for consideration at a public hearing.

Genetically modified animals will soon appear on the American tables. The FDA is expected to approve the genetically modified Atlantic salmon, which grows twice as fast as its wild counterpart, reaching market mass in a year and a half instead of three.

The next genetically modified animal that will be eaten by humans may be a pig, created at the University of Guelph, Canada. It has already been submitted to the aforementioned department for consideration.

A genetically modified pig assimilates phosphorus from food better, thus reducing the amount of phosphorus in manure, which causes water bodies to bloom in areas where pigs are raised.

Among the many amazing mutants, there is a giant cow, which is three times the size of its counterparts. This breed of cow is called the Belgian Blue. She is capable of giving a lot of milk. In China, genetically modified cows have been bred to give "breast" milk! In the online scientific journal Public Library of Science, Chinese scientists report that they have obtained human-like milk from genetically modified cows. Modified milk is designed to help mothers with breastfeeding problems.

Animal rights activists note that genetically modified animals often have health problems. Indeed, in two experiments, ten out of 42 cows died shortly after birth and six more during the next six months.

Doctor of Biological Sciences Lyubov Aleksandrovna Kalashnikova worked for many years in Slovenia, creating transgenic modifications of domestic animals. And when she returned to Russia, she said terrible things: “Animals that have been injected with a foreign but 'useful' gene are terribly sick, and 98 percent of them die. And those who have reached puberty cannot mate: the potency is almost zero. Then the queens are inseminated artificially - and they get offspring even more sick than the parents. In genetic monsters, organs are enlarged, internal bleeding occurs, and cancerous pathologies develop.

But we are not shown transgenic cripples, but they are slowly destroying them so as not to frighten the public, otherwise it will achieve a ban on these studies, and geneticists will stop receiving money.

With a serious look, they instill in us: they say, the milk of a transgenic cow contains new useful substances and has unusual taste. If you want, it will contain the medicines you need. Pay half a million dollars - and the cow is yours (this is how much a transgenic cow costs).

Horror takes from the thought of what changes milk or meat from such a sick cow can cause in us. And it's scary to think about who we will become if we are transplanted with the organ of a transgenic pig. After all, sows carrying a human or bovine growth hormone gene suffer from infertility, arthritis, stomach ulcers, lethargy and other disorders. Isn't it a genetic weapon?"

Not all scientists are optimistic about genetic engineering. Skeptics include Irwin Chargoff, an eminent biochemist often referred to as the father of molecular biology. He warns that not all innovation leads to "progress." Chargoff once called genetic engineering "molecular Auschwitz" and warned that genetic engineering technology poses a greater threat to the world than the arrival of nuclear technology. “I feel that science has crossed a barrier that must remain intact,” he wrote in his autobiography. Noting the "terrifying irreversibility" of the planned genetic engineering experiments, Chargoff warned: “You cannot undo a new form of life … it will outlive you, and your children, and the children of your children. An irreversible attack on the biosphere is something so unheard of, so unimaginable for previous generations, that I can only wish that I was not guilty of it."

The creation of genetically modified viruses and bacteria is in this century, in its significance and possible consequences, an analogue of nuclear technology and nuclear weapons of the last century. This was stated by the head of the crisis center of the World Health Organization for monitoring epidemics, including deliberately provoked, Brad Kay.

The danger of deliberate creation by "malefactors" of artificial varieties of viruses and bacteria, capable of causing gigantic worldwide epidemics, against which the human immune system is powerless, is not excluded.

The famous Russian scientist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Petr Gariaev believes that a gene is like a button: clicked on it - got the effect:

“And what happened in the apparatus of heredity is, as a rule, completely incomprehensible to geneticists. They work blindly, like a black box. And they get unexpected results - to put it mildly, not always pleasant.

There is the so-called transposition effect: if a DNA fragment jumps from one place to another, then it changes its genetic meaning. For example, in its place, an oncogene is very useful: it helps cells germinate. But if you move it to another place, then it will become very harmful - it will begin to form a cancerous tumor, manipulating the hereditary apparatus, geneticists have already received many such "surprises". Let's say you don't know English, but you presumptuously go to the British Library to read all the books in it. And instead of reading, you start … numbering letters in all texts. After several years of titanic work, you establish the sequence of all the letters that are in the library books. But this mechanical work did not give you useful knowledge, you didn’t read absolutely anything.

Scientists have done something similar under the Human Genome program: they have established the "zones of responsibility" of 50 thousand genes and the sequence of three billion nucleotide pairs, that is, letters, in hereditary programs. Billions of dollars were spent, but they did not give the knowledge of the "language". Geneticists work blindly and therefore cannot cure cancer and AIDS or fulfill their other promises. Yes, they have created good devices that automatically determine the sequence of nucleotides: scientists are sitting - money is coming. Into the sand! Geneticists pretend that, having established the entire sequence, they will comprehend the secrets of the chromosomes. But this is the same as understanding the Gioconda's smile by studying the composition of paints that the great Leonardo used to create the image of Mona Lisa."

The discoveries of Pyotr Gariaev and Georgy Tertyshny explain why geneticists have it "as always", although they wanted "what is best." Genes in the usual sense of the word encode only the protein part of hereditary information, and the lion's share of it is recorded at the wave level in DNA texts similar to human speech. And if the experimenter introduces a foreign fragment into the DNA molecule, then his physical fields distort the entire program of heredity. That is, there is a recoding at a higher, "sound" level, about which classical genetics knows nothing. And the unfortunate fragment of DNA, which was misplaced, begins to play the role of a fatal comma in the phrase: "You cannot be pardoned to execute." Petr Gariaev proved that homonymy works in genetic texts: the same word has several meanings, and its understanding depends on the context. Take the same oncogene: in one place of the chromosome it is read, for example, as a "scythe" - maiden beauty, and in another - as a "scythe" in the hands of death.

“A huge number of transgenic plants and animals have been bred, and they have already begun to displace their natural counterparts. Transgenic freaks behave like criminals in human society, who consider themselves wonderful people and want to reproduce - destroying those around them. For billions of years, Nature has created the harmony of living beings - and we impudently introduce alien genes to them, changing natural programs. This causes an imbalance in the entire biosphere of the Earth. That is, in fact, scientists started a genetic war … against themselves and against all life on Earth.

Our colleagues strive to immediately apply their "achievements" - not knowing what they are doing. We tell them: “Guys, let's figure out the mechanisms - and then we'll manipulate genes or fields. But colleagues do not want to listen to us: after all, generous customers demand practical results from them. As a result, they launch monstrous programs to breed new living things, including humans. The genetic apocalypse begins. We are trying our best to prevent it. But we will not be able to cope with this task without public support”.

Whether common sense will prevail is an open question, the future depends on each of us.
