Mavro Orbini is a medieval Catholic priest from the city of Ragusa, thanks to whom ancient descriptions of the Slavs from Italian libraries - from the so-called list “prohibited” by Rome - have survived to this day. In 1601, in the city of Pesaro, Orbini's book was published with a detailed description of the history of the Slavic peoples entitled “The History of the Slavic Kingdom”.

The author of the encyclopedia examined all the monastic and private libraries available to him, as well as Italian archives, for example, the famous library of the Duke of Urbino, one of the greatest book collections of his time. Half a century after Orbini's death, Italy fell on hard times, and the unique library with great losses migrated to the Vatican.

In 1722, by order of Peter the Great, a mediocre and rather abbreviated translation of this book in Russian was published in Russia. Nevertheless, Orbini's encyclopedia was unknown to most historians for many years.

This unique book reveals the amazing truth about the real glory of the Aryan-Scythian, “Indo-European” people

So what facts make graduate historians embarrassedly ignore this encyclopedic work?

1. The Slavs lived in the times of Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome and the same Ancient Egypt

This conclusion follows from the list of written sources that became the basis for compiling the historiography of the Slavic people. Among the authors of the works are Strabo and Pliny, who lived during the time of Jesus Christ, as well as Paul the Deacon, Gnei Pompey Troy, Publius Cornelius Tacitus, who died, according to the official version of history, in 120 AD. Moreover, the Slavic peoples lived and prospered long before the birth of Christ. For example, Socrates wrote about them in his writings, who passed away (again, according to the official version of history) in 399 BC.

2. The Slavs were not a people of words, but of deeds

Orbini himself writes about this, and the authors to whose works he refers. “There is nothing surprising,” the priest writes at the beginning of the book, “that the Slavic tribe, now erroneously called Sklavonian, does not enjoy the fame among historians that it should have, and its worthy deeds and glorious campaigns are hidden in a dense fog and are almost buried in the eternal night of oblivion. Having an abundance of warlike and valiant men, he did not find men of scholars and educated people who, with their writings, would immortalize his name.

Other tribes, much inferior to him in their greatness, are now so famous only because they had learned men who glorified them with their writings”.

3. The Slavs conquered, if not the entire ancient world, then almost the entire

Mavro Orbini writes about it this way:

“The Slavs fought with almost all the tribes of the world, attacked Persia, ruled Asia and Africa, fought with the Egyptians …, conquered Greece, Macedonia and Illyria, occupied Moravia, Silesia, Czech Republic, Poland and the Baltic Sea coast.

They took possession of Francia, founded kingdoms in Spain, and from their blood the noblest families originate."

4. Ancient Roman emperors paid tribute to the Slavs

Further, Mavro Orbini says that the ancestors of the Rus “invaded Italy, where they clashed with the Romans for a long time, sometimes suffering defeats, sometimes taking revenge on their part with great sacrifices, sometimes ending the battle with an equal advantage. Having conquered the Roman Empire in the end, they occupied many of its provinces, destroyed the city of Rome, making the Roman emperors their tributaries, which no other tribe in the world could accomplish”.

5. Scandinavian, Germanic, Ugric and South European peoples, including modern Moldavians and Romanians, descended from the early Slavs, and not vice versa

Mavro Orbini, based in his conclusions on the testimony of ancient authors, responsibly declares:

“From this always glorious people in the past times came the strongest peoples, such as, such as (actually) the Slavs, Roxolans or Rus, Poles, Sirs, Vandals, Burgundians, Goths, Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Getae, Alans, Avars, Dacians, Swedes, Normans, Finns, Ukry, or Unkras, Thracians (that is, simply - the Turks) and Illyrians, Pomeranians, Rugians, Britsans (that is, the British)”.

6. The shores of the Baltic Sea were inhabited (and inhabited, as we see, until now) mainly by the Slavs

Mavro Orbini further writes: “There were also Wends, or Genets, who occupied the coast of the Baltic Sea, and were divided into many tribes, namely the Pomorians, Viltsians, Rans, Barnabas, Bodrichs, Polabs, Vagrs, Clays, Dolenchan, Ratari … (further the list continues), and many others, about which one can read from Elder Helmold."

7. Most of the ancient authors are sure that the Slavs came from the north, namely the Scandinavian Peninsula, which was also called the island of Thule

Yes, yes, that one - the legendary island in the north of Europe, an island sacred to the German Nazis! A Catholic priest writes about this as follows:

"Since almost all the authors, whose blessed pen brought the history of the Slavic tribe to the descendants, assert and conclude that the Slavs left Scandinavia, I decided at the beginning of my work to give a brief description of its location …"

“According to pundits, this is the famous Thule. Their reasons and arguments are as follows: Ptolemy places it at seventy-third latitude and twenty-sixth longitude; Procopius writes that he is ten times the size of Britain … Isaac Tsets, a 12th century Byzantine philologist, says that Thule (in his time) was east of Britain.

Everything said fits Scandia, and nothing else. Let us add to this that one of the parts of Scandia still bears the name of Thule-Mark”.

8. Finland was inhabited by Slavs, spoke and wrote Slavic

And again let's look at the encyclopedia: "Finland, which, as Munster writes in the 4th book of his" Cosmography ", was in the past inhabited by a Slavic tribe, had its language and adopted the Greek rite during the domination of the Muscovites."

9. In the Baltic Sea in the 16-17 centuries, the Slavic kingdom of Gothia existed on a par with the kingdoms of Sweden, Norway and Denmark

10. The Slavs were, according to Mavro Orbini, the most courageous people on earth

He concludes:

“If you look closely at this Slavic tribe, it is impossible to find a more warlike tribe ever in the past. For they easily endured cold, frost, heat and all other military hardships in order to glorify and immortal their name, and cared little about their own lives, exposing it, being fearless, to a thousand dangers”.

11. The indigenous population of the British Isles was conquered by the Slavs, whom they called giants for their high growth

Mavro Orbini, quoting the words of Jordan Alan, writes that the Wends, Antes and Slavs are one and the same tribe.

Rinald the British in the first book of his "Chronicle" reports that the Wends, taking the name "Slavs" (that is, "Slavs"), equipped a powerful fleet in the Venedian Sea, attacked England, and, being tall, were considered giants.

12. The Slavs, called the Scythians by the Latins, successfully fought with Alexander the Great

"Later, Alexander the Great entered with his entire army into battle with the mentioned Slavs and suffered considerable losses, while inflicting insignificant damage on the enemy."

Well, what conclusions suggest themselves? - The history of the Slavs is distorted beyond recognition, and their exploits and achievements are ridiculed and slandered. One of the most ancient and most glorious peoples on earth has turned on the pages of books, starting from about the 17th century, into a wild tribe of barbarians, which for its entire short existence has not been noted for anything remarkable in world history. But maybe, after all, the dark time for Slavic history is passing?
