Deputy Director General for Science of the EkoNova Institute of Chromatography from Novosibirsk made a loud statement.

The Novosibirsk scientist, Doctor of Chemistry Grigory Baram, came to the conclusion that Russia has become a testing ground for Western countries where one can experiment with the quality of products with impunity. In Russia, there is no competent system of chemical safety, which makes it possible to conduct experiments on the effect of certain additives on human health.

According to the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, there are ten times more children with disabilities from birth in Russia than 15 years ago. The scientist considers this to be the result of the "chemical genocide" of the Russians. He is convinced that in the near future the situation will become even worse, since with the entry into the WTO, the number of imported products on the shelves will increase. And there will be no alternative to it, since cheap imported raw materials will be used in allegedly local products. But even with conspiracy theories aside, there are economic reasons to be wary of imported products.

Grigory Baram believes that domestic "food terrorists" also contribute to the chronic poisoning of the population. As a result, a situation arises when almost all the products that Russians consume are hazardous to human health. Pesticides, toxins, mutagens, carcinogens and other harmful substances contained in food and drinking water cannot be detected without the use of analytical chemistry methods. And an ordinary person is defenseless in front of all this.

Flour, sugar, meat, drinks are excellent objects for adding small amounts of "invisible" substances to them, which do not work immediately, but for sure. It seems to me not at all fantastic a massive experiment to study the effect of some pesticide (or other rubbish) on the health of 150 million Russians.

The conclusions of the Novosibirsk scientist sound rather gloomy. However, they are largely confirmed by the results of long-term monitoring of the quality of products sold in the Novosibirsk region. A round table "Problems of the quality and safety of goods and services in the consumer market" was held in Novosibirsk, which has been held for several years at the initiative of the Siberian Agreement Association.

The forum discussed the results of a study of products purchased in secret from the manufacturer. All experts on the food market who took part in the round table came to the same conclusion as Grigory Baram: most of the products on the Novosibirsk counters are hazardous to health. Only about 10% of them can be called quality. At the same time, the overall level of food quality over the past 12 years has fallen by six times.

However, experts are not ready to call domestic manufacturers as angels with wings. Not only because they prefer cheap imported raw materials of poor quality. Hormones and toxins in meat, pesticides and nitrates in vegetables, antibiotics in dairy products do not appear at the behest of foreign villains. All this is a product of the activities of unscrupulous Russian companies.

So the conclusion of Grigory Baram on common thought does not sound so fantastic. Most of the food products presented on the domestic market, both imported and of our own production, are really hazardous to health. And in many respects it is they who are to blame for its deterioration.

As always, the question "What to do?" Remains open. Experts advise you to grow your own food or not be lazy to go to remote villages for them. There is no other alternative.
