Power Struggle: Patriots vs. Liberals

In our country, a fierce struggle is flaring up between different groups of the bourgeoisie. “Patriots” and “liberals” are preparing to grab each other by the throats in order to measure their strength in the struggle for power.

The "patriots" are the ruling bourgeoisie, consisting of several of the richest oligarchic clans that control the banking sector and strategic industries, and a layer of senior officials close to them. The "patriots" are clinging to their dominant position with all their might, because its loss will automatically lead to the loss of their gigantic riches. In state-monopoly capitalism, this is the way it is: the one who loses state power is deprived of the fattest assets - they pass into the hands of the new "king of the hill."

Well, and the "liberals" (the bourgeoisie that feels left out because at the moment does not have the power) are going to move the "patriots" away from the state helm in order to take their place and appropriate the tidbits for themselves.

This is a struggle between two predators for the right to suck more blood from the Russian working people, to receive more benefits, luxury and influence from the robbery of workers. Both are our sworn enemies. Both of them want to preserve capitalism - to sit on our backs and use us as slaves.

As usual, they cover up their dastardly intentions with pompous phrases.

"Patriots" sing us songs about love for the Fatherland, spirituality and traditions. Although by "Fatherland" they mean their own well-being, and our "love for the Fatherland" should be expressed in the fact that we will meekly work for them in peacetime and meekly die for them during the war, when they decide to compete with their foreign competitors for world domination. And spirituality in their understanding is when the working people believe that the capitalists live at our expense according to the will of God, and therefore we must sacredly honor this order and in no case rebel against the "divine will", that is, against the bourgeois social order.

Liberals are crucified for "rule of law" and "democracy", pose as fighters against corruption and dictatorship, angrily resent the poverty of the population and promise that under their rule milk rivers will flow. However, we know that any power is a dictatorship, and bourgeois democracy is just a veiled dictatorship of the bourgeoisie. And the law is the will of the ruling class, and since we are now dominated by the bourgeoisie, then all laws express its will. As for corruption, it is generated by capitalism, and trying to destroy corruption without destroying capitalism is like drawing water with a sieve. As for poverty, we all know very well that it was the liberals in the nineties who pushed through the very murderous "reforms" that brought Russian workers to poverty. And you don't have to go to a fortune-teller: if the liberals come to power, there will be no rivers of milk. We have before our eyes an example of those countries where quite recently “color revolutions” took place and liberals took the helm of the state - Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan. The liberals gave neither economic prosperity, nor social development and progress. On the contrary, now in these countries the people are protesting, because their situation has even worsened in comparison with the past. And the liberals, who earlier fought for democracy, ruthlessly suppress popular protests, and show even more cruelty than the previous government.

One of the favorite myths of our "liberals" is the cultured, prosperous and democratic West. America, of course, is the idol for liberals. America in their interpretation is simply the standard of prosperity and democracy. They oppose modern, prosperous and democratic America to "backward, impoverished and authoritarian Russia."

However, this is a gross lie. In bourgeois America there are all the same basic problems as in bourgeois Russia. And we find all the symptoms of capitalist degradation, all the social ulcers that exist in Russia in America.

Here are some facts about America that will make it clear that the tales of American prosperity liberals are blatant lies that they use in the struggle for power.

Demographic problems

According to the released government report on the situation in the field of demography, the birth rate in the country in 2018 fell to the lowest values in the last 32 years. Since 2016, this figure has been no more than 1.7 children per potential mother. At the same time, according to the canons of demography, it is considered that a constant population of the population of the state is preserved if there are at least 2.1 children for every woman in it. Since 2014, the birth rate in the United States has been falling and has not developed into a process of real depopulation only due to the constant influx of immigrants.

Rising suicides and deaths from alcohol and drugs

The number of Americans who die from alcohol, drugs and suicide is growing at a steady 4% annually. This indicator is constantly increasing. The suicide rate in the United States has doubled over the past decade. In 2017, the United States set another "record" - there was a peak in the number of deaths of citizens from firearms. In numbers, it looks like this: about 40 thousand people died from gunshot wounds in the country, and about 24 thousand of them committed suicide. The suicide rate is the highest in 18 years.

Health problems

In 2018, more than 65 million Americans could not see a doctor because they simply didn’t have the money to do it. Those who decided to improve their health literally at any cost were forced to go into debt. That same year, according to a study by the West Health-Gallup, US residents raised an astronomical $ 88 billion in loans for their own treatments! Almost every eighth American was forced to resort to this method. At the same time, 45% of citizens of the state, who have a fairly stable and considerable income, are confident that the need to go to doctors for a serious matter will bankrupt them and turn them into beggars.

But this is only one side of the issue. Within six years, the United States faces a shortage of nearly 2.5 million health workers. Now doctors, nurses, laboratory assistants are lacking everywhere, especially in the American "outback". If in cities there are more than 200 doctors for every 100 thousand of the population, then in rural areas the ratio is already 82 doctors per 100 thousand inhabitants. Young people in the United States are less and less eager to get a medical profession. It is too long (on average, 10 years) and expensive (training will cost from 150 to 400 thousand dollars). The problem is compounded by the fact that medical degrees issued in other countries are categorically not recognized in the United States. We need to retrain, get a certificate. The problems are the same - it is long, expensive and there is no guarantee that it will work out at all. With such tendencies, Americans will soon have to think of healers and midwives.

Poor population

As statistics show, the bulk of the US population is by no means getting richer. More and more Americans are forced to live in perpetual debt. According to the Federal Reserve System of the United States, the amount of debt of local citizens on only one credit cards, of which there are about 480 million in circulation in the country, in 2018 amounted to 870 billion dollars and became the largest in the history of the United States. The total amount of debt of Americans - together with mortgages, loans for studies and the medical care already mentioned above, reached an astronomical amount of 13.5 trillion dollars. Moreover, one third of debtors are people over 60 years old. This is to the question of "the well-to-do and well-fed old age of Americans."

Only the big bourgeoisie are doing well - one and a half to two hundred thousand families, which (according to the University of California) own about a quarter of the national wealth of the United States. Most of all, ordinary Americans are worried by the fact that their children will never get into this “club of the elite”. It is increasingly difficult for ordinary American citizens to obtain a higher education, which is constantly becoming more expensive. The following figures illustrate this: in 1985, more than half of the students in the most elite educational institutions in the United States were from the poor. Since 2010, this figure has dropped to one third and is steadily declining. Higher education in America is increasingly becoming the privilege of the rich.

Fall in morals, homosexuality, pedophilia

America, like Russia, is a deeply sick society. The pus of capitalism makes its way to the surface in the form of disgusting abscesses - the most filthy and heinous social vices, such as homosexuality and pedophilia. Vice thrives even in organizations traditionally regarded as symbols of "American values" - in the army and in the Boy Scout organization.

According to a report published by the Pentagon, the rate of sexual harassment in the US military in 2018 was almost 40% higher than in 2016. The servicemen submitted only official statements on this matter 20 and a half thousand.

Press conferences in New York and New Jersey were a real shock for Americans this spring. Human rights activists specializing in cases of violence against children have released lists of hundreds of pedophiles from the Boy Scouts of America. At the same time, they stated that the announced names are only a tiny part of the list, in which there are more than 7,800 names of only the leaders of this organization.

Where, one wonders, is that American paradise, which the liberal bourgeoisie has buzzed all our ears with? We have before us a picture of a deeply unhappy society, which is corroded by terrible social vices and which is possessed by moods of pessimism, hopelessness and despair.

Americans are giving birth less and less, more and more committing suicide, seeing the injustice of their society and not believing in the future. The tale of the "welfare state" is over; most American citizens have no opportunity to receive either quality education or medical care. The gap between the poor and the rich is growing monstrously. Needless to say, there is no true democracy in America either. All "democracy" boils down to the fact that Democrats and Republicans change in power. These are the two parties of big business, and those that the others are pursuing policies in the interests of an insignificant super-rich minority.

Lies about prosperous America and "correct" Western capitalism are a weapon of the liberal bourgeoisie to deceive the working people. With its help, the liberals want to use us and seize power with our hands - as happened in many countries where "color revolutions" took place.

We do not believe in tales of correct Western capitalism, nor in the fact that liberals will improve the life of the Russian people. Liberals will bring us only further deterioration - even greater poverty, powerlessness, humiliation, and the fascization of society. The same will happen if patriots remain in power. About patriots and liberals one can say by a saying - horseradish radish is not sweeter.

We workers do not care whether "patriots" suck blood out of us under mantras about spirituality, or "liberals" under mantras about democracy. Therefore, there is no need for us to choose between the varieties of the bourgeoisie. We will fight any bourgeoisie, no matter what it calls itself and no matter what masks it wears. Our goal is to end the bourgeois order. We are fighting for socialism. And in this struggle both "patriots and" liberals "stand against us.
