Traveling abroad, we love to compare “here” and “at their place”, and it is obvious that the comparison is almost always not in our favor. Meanwhile, if you look at the situation with optimism, then in order to start living better, not so much is needed. The Russian architect Aleksey Novikov decided to clearly demonstrate this, slightly embellishing the domestic outback with the help of computer technologies.

In his project, Aleksey used a visual way of presenting information "it was - it is now", although in his case it can be said differently - "is - could have been." Having a little "combed" the realities of the Russian periphery, senseless and merciless, Novikov made it clear that in order to live no worse than his European neighbors, according to the old Soviet tradition, it is not at all necessary to destroy everything to the ground and then sculpt something on the ruins. You can just put in order what we have and get nice and very cozy cities and villages.

Simple, isn't it? But the author only removed the ugly chaotic advertisement from the facade of the old mansion with the help of Photoshop.

Do you see the difference? Neatly paved courtyard, renovated roof and no handicraft on the balconies.

Having repaired the road and sidewalks, as well as hiding the power lines underground, you can achieve just such a pleasant environment in a seemingly hopeless area with old wooden buildings.

And again, the author proves to us that happiness lies in the little things. In the illustration, he did not complete skyscrapers and futuristic landscaping elements - flowerpots, ordinary benches, modern lighting poles and … tidy roads and sidewalks.

This is already a picture in the "find 10 differences" style. If you take a few minutes to compare the two idyllic countryside landscapes, it turns out that there are not so many differences. Houses and outbuildings are adorned with mute, and, of course, a good road is shown.

And again, no radical changes - a well-groomed courtyard, no rubbish, some simple small architectural forms.

This is not the embankment of the Loire or the Thames - this is a visualization of a river bank in the Russian hinterland after a small reconstruction of a 10-meter strip.

And this render can generally be considered a guide to action. To turn the entrance into such a picture, large investments and large-scale construction work are not needed.

What did you think? Even a seemingly hopelessly hopeless car service stuck to a garage co-op can look solid if you try a little.

The private sector is a completely separate topic for discussion - here everyone can create well-being on their site. Of course, if he wants to.

Analyzing the work of Alexei Novikov, one can come to the conclusion that in order to live in a new way, not so much is needed - high-quality road and sidewalk surfaces, properly organized street lighting, cleanliness and the absence of tasteless amateur performance. What do you think?
