On February 2, 1959, in the Northern Urals, a group of 9 tourists died under mysterious circumstances. In the middle of the night, for some unknown reason, the group members cut open the tent from the inside and without even getting dressed went out into the cold. After that, they walked one and a half kilometers down the mountain and lit a fire. Judging by the tracks, three of the group decided to return to the tent, but froze on the way. Two died by the fire from burns. And the four remaining were found with severe fractures in a ravine.

The official version of the incident - "It should be considered that the cause of the death of tourists was a spontaneous force, which the tourists were not able to overcome." The investigation of the case was classified, sealed and handed over to a special unit. According to researchers, there are about 75 versions of what happened on that fateful night. And although these tragic events have been talked about for a long time, the real version of what happened has not been found. Many scientists are trying to prove the correctness of their theories, but we will go from the opposite - we will note those versions that are definitely not suitable and are discussed only in order to divert attention from possible clues. Avalanche

One of the most popular versions of what happened is an avalanche. This version is supported by the prosecutor's office, saying that natural versions will be considered first. They began to talk about a possible avalanche after the release of Evgeny Buyanov's book "The Mystery of the Dyatlov Accident", which describes exactly this version of the death of the group. According to this theory, the members of the Dyatlov group made a platform on the slope to put up tents. Thus, they cut off the layer of snow, due to which a wall formed higher up the slope, the upper part of which at some point moved down, partially covering up the tent and the people inside.

Indigenous attack

According to one of the first versions of the Dyatlov Pass tragedy, the group was attacked by local residents. First of all, suspicion fell on the indigenous population of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Mansi. This is a small people - the closest linguistic relatives of the Khanty. Today there are only about 12 thousand of them, and in the 1930s there were half of them. Part of the Mansi profess Orthodoxy, but the religion of the other part of the indigenous people is shamanism. Investigators believed that the tourists from the Dyatlov group set up camp on the site of the Mansi sanctuary, thereby incurring their wrath. And although this version has not become official, it is still actively discussed.

Quarrel between tourists

There is a version that the cause of the tragedy could have been an ordinary quarrel or a fight between the guys over the girls, which went so far as to lead to tragic consequences. This version is not in the official materials of the criminal case, but one of the members of the search group in his fiction book claims that the prosecutor expressed this version of events. This version is supported by the fact that the group was formed only before entering the race. The film from the found cameras shows that the members of the group willingly took pictures together, but some of them only photographed certain people with whom, most likely, they communicated better. But in the same photographs you can see that the girls were not in the spotlight, which means that there was no pronounced sympathy for them. Moreover, this version does not explain in any way the fact that the students cut open the tent from the inside and walked naked down the slope. Most likely, the story of a domestic quarrel is another version, invented to divert one's eyes from the real solution.

And this despite the fact that among them the versions were not mentioned, according to which guests from parallel worlds, aliens, Bigfoot and other creatures were involved in the death of Dyatlov's tourist group, the existence of which is as difficult to prove as it is to refute. But why do all these versions exist in principle? Probably because their discussion is beneficial for those who want to hide the truth. There were definitely people in the Soviet Union who knew how everything was in reality. Yuri Yudin, who separated from the team at the very beginning due to a leg injury, claimed that the secretary of the regional party committee Kirilenko and the regional prosecutor knew the cause of the death from the very beginning and were silent. Most likely, the modern special services also know the truth. But on TV, they still talk about the version with the killer gnomes.
